Chapter 26

The day arrives with all it's glory , ready to shine and spark through the world as an open sky . The birds take the responsibility to wake everyone up and the tired souls wake up lazily , they complete their morning routine and one by one gather in the dining room . Yoongi and Jiwoo are cooking breakfast and hoseok is setting the table as the three younger ones come a bit late . They settle down and have their breakfast chit chatting about anything and everything . It feels good .

After the breakfast the three maknaes do the kitchen cleaning chores before they all settle in the living room .

You guys be careful yeah . Do check thoroughly and with keen eyes but don't go too out of league , remember you are unarmed if you face any problem . So yeah , be careful , Jiwoo says to which the other three nod while fixing their clothes .

Taehyung is kind of struggling with his waist band that has all his weapons . Jiwoo chuckles and walks to him making jungkook stop in his track and back off . The boy sighs loudly as he sees the lady smiling and fixing his waist band by circling her hands around his waist as he lets her . His smile making his heart ache cause somehow he wants him to smile at him just like that . Jiwoo backs off and ruffles taehyung's hair before mumbling ,

Take care and be careful you silly , taehyung chuckles and flicks her forehead saying ,

Sure princess , they smile once more before the lady comes back to her position .

Hoseok and others sigh as they see the pout on their baby highness' face but the two are too into their world to notice . Finally they decide to leave and jungkook just walks behind them being all sulky that's when Jiwoo notices him and it hits her .

Oh God what did i do ? She facepalms and hoseok sighs . The boy comes beside the princess as yoongi already went in to gather up the books he has in the library and they will be needing .

Princess , you need to restrict yourself in case of taehyung . That boy has no idea what his heart is going through but we can see that he doesn't like anyone near taehyung . It will take him time to appreciate his love but he won't be able to if he sees you two being all lovely in front of his eyes cause to him you guys are a couple , Jiwoo looks down and nods .

It's not like she is doing it on purpose it's just that she is with taehyung since childhood , she knows him well , she knows when he feels all uncomfortable , she knows when he needs a helping hand , she knows and can read him from his face only and that makes her take steps involuntarily but sometimes you need to hold yourself back in order to let another bond blossom . She sighs yet again .

Don't worry too much princess , if you feel like pampering someone , do it to me . I am so deprived of love you know , he says in a playful manner making the lady to laugh . Only if she knows he mean it with all his heart .

Princess , see that butterfly , isn't it beautiful , jimin voices out to which jungkook mindlessly hums without looking up . He is so into his own world to notice . How can he when his mind is playing games with him and he is losing helplessly .

Taehyung looks at the boy and then at jimin silently asking him what happened . Jimin shakes his head telling him that he has no idea but he knows as he saw Jungkook's mood going sour since they left . Maybe the reason is related to taehyung .

Taehyung stops and holds jungkook's hand making him look up as he asks ,

What's wrong princess ? Jungkook looks in those eyes seeing the worry and care in them but his heart warns him to not get fooled so he shakes his head and says ,

Nothing hyung i am fine , taehyung rolls his eyes annoyed ,

Don't make me repeat princess . I asked what happened ? Jungkook thinks for a while . He can't adress his inner turmoil to taehyung and he most definitely can't escape from taehyung's questions unless he answers so ,

Nothing hyung i am just missing my family , taehyung sighs .

He pulls the male closer and hugs him without saying anything . Rubbing his back soothingly . Jungkook does feel his heart and mind going numb as he hears taehyung's constant peaceful heartbeat . Jimin stands there looking at them with a smile .

It's ok . We are here for them so let's do our work sincerely yeah , jungkook nods in taehyung's chest . They stand like that for a while before pulling away . Taehyung sets his hairs softly before kissing jungkook's forehead making him blush and look down as they finally decide to continue . Jimin did gave taehyung a dirty side look which the prince ignored skillfully .

It was owned by the pack leader only and he would pass it to his successor as the weapon was considered a holy ancestral property . Apart from being the identity of the power the weapon was used to slit open the throat of the rival pack leader . It was considered a powerful move and a sign of victory .

Jiwoo reads everything written there out loud .

The three share eye contact before hoseok says ,

If it is this old what is it doing here right now ? I mean you see no one from that tribe exists nowadays and no one believes in the tales too , the other two just keep looking at each other and at the book .

Yoongi , Jiwoo warns to which the boy sighs .

What ? Hoseok questions to which the two stand up and close the book before saying ,

We need to go and find the three , they are not safe in the forest , with that the two run away leaving hoseok behind all confused ,

At least tell me what's going on , he shouts going behind the two as he hears yoongi replying with ,

We will tell you on the way , just get ready , with that the three go into their rooms to take the needed things .

Hyung , what's that ? Jungkook questions looking ahead as they can see some smoke arising from somewhere ,

Let's check , taehyung says and they walk in the direction .

Soon enough they can see two people sitting by the fireplace , roasting a piece of meat .

Hi there , jungkook says as he steps ahead to talk to them making the two to look up . Taehyung and jimin observe the two from top to bottom as taehyung holds jungkook's hand halting his moves as he says ,

Sorry for distributing , we are just going back , nice meeting you , he says and jungkook too gulps before backing off . The two nod as jungkook jimin and taehyung walk away from there but what they fail to notice the two sharing an eye contact before a creepy , dirty smirk take over their features .
