"Jin-"

"We have to try. We have to try every last thing, please don't take this chance away from me."

Namjoon shakes his head, having teary eyes. They are desperate, but the alternative Yeou proposes sounds so risky and terrible What if Yoongi can't stand that "cure"? Maybe by leaving him a little longer he can heal himself without resorting to divination. Jin and Hoseok have been the most anxious and visibly cooperative.

Jungkook and Taehyung are staying in their rooms or hiding somewhere, reluctant to see Yoongi so badly and running away from finding out that he passed away if that is the case. Jin couldn't hide the matter from Namjoon and only hopes that he won't turn back the procedure.

Because he could. He is just as responsible for Yoongi as the others. If it is not a unanimous decision, Chaewoon will not proceed. Right now, he listens to Yeou's explanations for carrying out the treatment. Namjoon shakes his head, tapping his leg, his lips pressed together and letting out a heavy breath.

"Do you really think it can work?"

"No, but... I don't want to stand by and do nothing to see him get better."

He nods and hugs him, with Jin hiding his face in Namjoon's shoulder. It has to work, he prays that it will work, and with both of them being there to see it, maybe it will help to make it work. That by wishing for it so hard: life, the universe, the world, WHATEVER! Will grant you this wish. They don't ask for much. Lately they only ask for the same thing, to be safe.

Now all five ask for the same thing: Don't take anything else from us... Don't take Yoongi away too.

"Hello."

Taehyung doesn't turn his head, still sitting on the floor, hunched over and with Yeontan between his legs, slowly petting him to the point where he made the dog sleepy. Next to him sits Seonjoon, making an enormous effort not to whimper in pain. The wound on his leg well plastered and having spent three days, it was concluded that he is immune from the bite traces apart from the bone sticking out of his flesh, no one had time to test him as they were more concerned about Yoongi with his thousands of bites, than a single one on his thigh. A rather rare wound.

Just the teeth stuck in, but no skin or flesh torn off; the purple of having been restrained to break his limb. Anyone would think he was wounded on purpose to leave him as bait. Seojoon stretches out his legs and looks up at Taehyung. Seojoon strokes his hair affectionately and even with that, Taehyung doesn't give him a single glance.

"I was beginning to think you weren't here. I didn't see you at any time. Not even when I passed in front of the room where they have Yoongi" Seojoon comments, Taehyung doesn't respond. "I'm glad to see you're alive."

Seojoon hugs him and Taehyung finds it impossible not to lean back from him. Pursing his lips and his eyes watering. He would like to be happy, would like to hug him back and have the joy that at least one of his dearest friends is alive. Taehyung can't. Not knowing that maybe, he chose Seojoon over Yoongi.

He doesn't want to have to choose. He doesn't want to let anyone go and yet, it seems like it's his only choice. The choice he didn't know he had to make.

As he separates, he runs his hand across his right cheek and Seojoon looks at him with sorrow, tenderness and sadness. He knows perfectly well what peace is in his head and for that reason alone, he is not even thankful that he was saved. Just...

"I'm sorry about what happened with Yoongi. I tried to ask them to leave, but... It wasn't enough."

Taehyung nods. Seojoon wouldn't be able to do anything, neither would he be able to wish such a great evil on anyone. Her genuine apology makes him feel at least a little better.
