"Bam."

The dog jumps into the lunchbox where Jungkook carries him in terrain too dangerous for him. They usually walk side by side, but when they enter bombing zones, he prefers to keep him very close. That way if he falls, so will he. It's also much easier to pick up a lunch box than to pick up a dog that might run away.

He cut a hole in it and put a mesh so it can breathe, see and not get restless. Jungkook gives a silent exclamation of amazement. There's a crashed plane and judging by the dried bloodstains on the floor, its crew members have long, long gone.

"Shall we go see what's inside? Maybe there's food for you- AND clothes!" prompts Jungkook with some excitement about it. Bam barks and wags his tail, detecting Jungkook's excitement and playing along.

Jungkook manages to climb up to the gaping hole in the plane. As he imagined, there is no one inside. Just empty seats, the oxygen masks hanging, faded by time, full of dust and cobwebs. There is barely a corpse or two, but dry and with nothing to distinguish it in terms of identity. Jungkook goes straight to the luggage area, opening the suitcases.

He ends up with a whole new change of clothes and also a more comfortable bag to carry Bam. He keeps some of the changes of clothes, considering that Taehyung, Jin and Namjoon might like them; he also keeps the odd keychain he thinks is cute and gets what he was looking for: dog food. He leaves some inside the backpack for Bam to eat.

With nothing else useful inside the cargo area, he goes to the front. In the carry-on, there's nothing to take either. Mostly files, comfortable clothes for going to the beach; he even found that the destination of this plane was supposed to be Hawaii. He enters the pilots' cabin, both dead and smelling of nothing due to the time they've been here drying out.

"I don't know if it's a good idea not to have approached a plane at the time. If it crashed we'd all die... We missed all this, though. I don't know which is worse." grumbles Jungkook, disgruntled about the whole thing.

He thought about opening the board to take pieces. Whatever it is, Namjoon will know how to put them to good use. His extraction process is abruptly interrupted for one reason only:

There is noise.

A static sound starts to play.

He removes the headphones from the pilot's corpse, the head comes off without a problem, a simple dry corpse. Jungkook scrunches up his face, but just puts on the headphones without thinking. He presses them into his ears.

"It's... I don't kn... nothing."

"We have to in... we don't know if... or... it's... an option..."

Jungkook clicks his tongue and tries to calibrate the equipment to pick up the signal better. Without so much static and that it's actually possible to use. Or to listen to. He manages to get it clearer and less interrupted, to the point where it's almost not at all.

"Why are we even trying, what's the point of us contacting anyone? We're going to have them come after us and-"

"And we'll take care of it if we have to Jimin. Stop freaking out. They're not omnipresent. They're not going to show up behind the door as soon as you open it.

"We don't know that! I'm the one who was locked in there, and I know we can't just play around!"

"Put the knife down, please."

"There's a horde out there and instead of playing with that crap you should be gutting that...!"

"Jimin, remember what we told you. Take a deep breath, you're getting too upset. You're going to end up crying or having a panic attack. Breathe."
