we all stand in Umbridge's office. Harry, Hermione and Umbridge have been gone for a good fifteen minutes. I'm starting to grow nervous and begin tensing up.
suddenly ron yells "stupefy!" at Crabbe who is holding Ginny. Ginny leaps at Goyle, who is holding me, and knocks him to the ground.
Luna calmly kicks her restrainer in the shins. Neville slip out of the strangle-hold he'd been in and throws all of us our wands
Goyle waves his wand but Neville is faster
"Expelliarmus!" Neville shouts
the wand flies away. Ginny blasts a spell at Draco sending him flying backwards into the wall. he slumps to the floor
"Draco!" i yell running over to him and crouching down over him
"Vanessa we have to go!" Ginny warns
"i know! just give me a second!" i yell
she nods and heads out of the room with the rest of the group
"i have to go Draco. but i want you to know that i love you...so much." i whisper
he looks up at me "i love you too...actually, more." he laughs
i smile and kiss him on the cheek before exiting the room as well
we run outside and find Harry and Hermione standing at the edge of the forest, breathing heavily.
"what are we supposed to do now?" Harry asked Hermione
"that's just what we were wondering." Ron says as we ran up to them
"so, how do we get to the Ministry?" i ask
"i imagine we should fly." Hermione says
"we don't have any brooms. Umbridge took them." Harry says
"there are other ways to fly." Luna says
she nods in the direction of the forest
"i mean, they can fly, and they're very good at finding places you need to go." Luna says
i turn around and see three of the horses that pulled the carriages at the beginning of the year
"what are those?" i ask
"what are what?" Ron asks
he looks right at them and doesn't see them
"there's nothing there, Vanessa." Hermione says
"yes, there is. they're Threstrals. you can't see them unless you've seen someone die." Luna says
Neville is quiet. finally he looks up too "i can see them too."
Harry claps his hands
"alright then. get on one and we'll be off." Harry says
"and what about those of us who can't see them?" Ron asks
Luna walks over to him "i'll show you." she says
