"you didn't tell me you were apart of Potter's little army!" Draco yelled
"and you didn't tell me that you were Umbridge's little puppy!" i yelled back
"you can't just do something like that without letting me know!" Draco said
"and what about you? huh?" i yell
Draco sighs loudly
"look we're gonna have to face the fact that we're on opposite sides of this thing." i say
"what thing? Umbridge and Potter?" he asks
"no....Harry and Voldemort." i say
he looks up at me for the first time today "i and everyone else know about your parents. i saw your father the night Voldemort rose again. you nor i can deny the fact that that will one day be you. but..i love you. and we can either stand here and fight about it or try to make it work!" i say
he stays silent but still looks at me
"i love you too." is all he says before he smashes his lips into mine
for the first time in a long time i felt the passion that was there. i kissed him back with the equal amount of passion
"its time for dinner." Draco says pulling a part
"yeah." i whisper taking his hand
we head to the Great Hall along with everyone else
we sit down at the Slytherin table, Draco to my right, Blaise to my left and Crabbe, Goyle, and Daphne across from us
before we could even fix something to eat Umbridge got up to speak
"by order of the Ministry of Magic: Dolores Jane Umbridge will replace Albus Dumbledore as Head of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
she looks up with an evil grin on her face.
my jaw drops to the floor as does everyone else's.
"my first act as your new headmistress is to form an Inquisitional Squad, led by Draco Malfoy. they will report directly to me about the goings on in the hall of this school."
i snapped my head over to Draco and he couldn't seem to look me in the eye
"furthermore, our caretaker Mr. Filch has requested we reinstate the 'old punishments'. i have decided there is no reason we shouldn't."
Filch stands at the back hall grinning like a kid at christmas.
me, Hermione, Harry and Hagrid are walking through the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid had informed us a few days ago that he had something important to show us. Ron couldn't make it because of Quidditch practice.
"Hagrid....we've been walking for a good hour." Hermione says
"its jus' up ahead here." Hagrid said
"could you tell us what it is, Hagrid, please?" i beg
"all righ'. well, I'm showin' yeh this, because tha woman Umbridge put me on probation. i can' last much longer before i get sacked like Trelawny." Hagrid says
"we won't let her!" Hermione says
"bah. S'not the end o' the world. if i do, i'll go help Dumbledore. grea' man....anyway, i wouldn' tell yeh 'cept for tha'. i can' leave withou' makin' arrangement's, see?" Hagrid said
"of course we'll help!" i say
Hagrid clapped me on the back roughly, causing me to stumble a few steps
"knew yeh'd say yes!" he said
he pauses and glances at us
"ok, real quiet like from 'ere on." he says
we creep down the path until Hagrid straightens and smiles
"there we are!" he says
a huge body is laying on the ground before us. its a giant.
"Hagrid, i thought none of them wanted to come!" Harry says
Hagrid begins looking uncomfortable "none o' them did, Harry. i didn' have much ruddy choice in da matter. i couldn' leave 'im!" Hagrid explains
"why?" Hermione asks
"he's my brother." Hagrid says
silence takes over us
"well, half-brother anyway. me mum had 'im before she died...i though i could bring 'im back here an' train 'im up a bit. teach 'im a bit o' manners." Hagrid says
i suddenly begin getting nervous as Hagrid moves toward the giant.
"here. i'll introduce yeh to Grawp." Hagrid says
Hagrid tosses a rock at Grawp and it bounces off his head. the giant awakes, and slowly stands to his full fifteen-foot height.
"yeh all righ' Grawp?" Hagrid asks
Grawp gives a low growl
"look wha i brough' yeh, Grawpy! three new friends an' all. we 'ave Harry Potter here, see? an' here is Hermy. an' over there is Nessa." Hagrid says introducing all of us
Grawp stops roaring and simply looks at us. then he reaches out towards me
"Nessa!" Grawp roars
Harry grabs me and pulls me behind a tree as the huge fist closes around the air. Hagrid hits Grawp with a large stick
"bad Grawpy! bad boy!" Hagrid yells
Grawp groans in pain
"we don' attack our friends, Grawpy!" Hagrid says
Grawp groans again and we four flee the scene as fast as possible.
"see, he don' know any better" Hagrid explains
Harry glares at him
"anyway, all yeh need teh do is go an' talk to 'im. give 'im a bit o' company." Hagrid says
suddenly Hagrid stops and looks around. from the undergrowth, a large number of Centaurs have appeared.
"oh blimey..." Hagrid mumbles
a Centaur i recognized stepped forward, I'm pretty sure his name is Bane.
"i thought we told you that you were no longer welcome in this place, Hagrid. you or that beast you brought from afar." Bane says
"s'not up to you who comes and goes in this forest." Hagrid defends
"you stopped us from invoking our punishments on Firenze for becoming the servant for the humans at Hogwarts." Bane says
"stopped yeh from committin' murder, yeh mean!" Hagrid argues
"our ways are not yours, Hagrid. and now you bring that monster here....our patients with it wanes swiftly." Banes says
"well, you'll tolerate 'im as long as he's here!" Hagrid says
the Centaurs paw the ground angrily
"we allow you to pass this time, Hagrid, because you have young with you. but the next time you enter this forest, your life is forfeit." Bane explains
the Centaurs vanish once again
