"why do you love the stars so much?"
the sound of Stu's voice sent goosebumps across my arms

"what?" i asked
not bothering to remove my sight from the beautiful
dark night sky
"you heard me. i've noticed you lay on the grass for
hours and stare at the stars,
as if watching a movie... but
why?" he continued i felt my face flush
"so you actually pay attention to me?"
i joked
"you didn't answer my question"
he said quickly, as if
dismissing my remark "fine"
i removed my eyes from the
dark sky above us
and met eyes with his

i realized how beautiful he
actually was
his light silver eyes with long eyelashes
his sharp features
splashed with freckles i met his eyes once again
and he looked almost amused

i sat up and pulled my knees to my chest
letting my hair fall infront of
my face attempting to hide my clear
embarrassment
"the stars remind me that even in the pure darkness
lies beauty." i admitted,
to my surprise
he cupped my cold face with his two warm hands
and whispered
"aren't you going to ask my
why i love the stars?"
butterflies erupted in my
stomach as i slowly
nodded yes
"well..." he started
pulling his hands away from
my face
i slightly frowned at the loss
of his warm touch
"the stars remind
me of you" i snapped my head up
to meet his silver eyes
before i could open my mouth to speak
he cupped my face and
leaned in
until we were inches apart
"i am in love with you. i
always have been."
the words ringed in my ears as i responded with the
words i've longed to say "im in love with you too"
