"It's me. Um, hey, we're still looking. Just getting a little worried about meeting up on time. So just give me a call or text, anything." Scott spoke into his phone, trying to get in contact with Chris
"My feet are starting to hurt!" Sam complained as she slowly followed after the 3 adults, Scott put his phone back into his pocket "what was the point of me putting you in lacrosse?" Scott asked with a raised eyebrow "well it's not like I get any playing time considering I'm the only girl on the team." Sam stood up straight "you're only on the team so it looks like I'm not a sexists douche, blah, blah, blah I have never had any female interaction and get no bitches." Sam mocked her coach, Malia snickers and Scott's eyes widen "hey! what did we talk about the language!" He scolded making Sam step back with her hands up in defense "it's not my fault he's an ass." Sam said making Scott sigh, officially giving up.

Sam watched as Malia went back and forth, trying to sniff out the nemeton "Ah! It's this way. No It's this way." Malia stopped, letting out a growl as she looked out into the woods.
Scott looked past the trees, his nose sniffing something out "What is it?" Sam asked, trying to smell it out too "Someone's following us. They've been following us pretty much the whole time." Scott said as he slowly walked backwards "who?!" Lydia asked as she coward behind Malia.

Scott stops beside a tree before quickly reaching behind it "Here, come here!" He said as he pulled a boy out from behind the tree, making him nearly fall "Wait, wait, I wasn't doing anything! Sorry! Uh." Scott let's go of the back of the boys flannel "It is you." Scott said as they looked at each other.

Both Sam and Lydia looked at Malia "Eli, Derek's son." She informed them, making Eli look at the girls, his eyes stopping on Sam.
She young girl watched as his body tensed which made her a little confused. She began to listen closely, his rapid beating heart caught her attention.

"Wow, you've gotten really big." Scott said, causing Eli to finally look away from Sam and to the man next to him. "Um...Yeah, It's probably because I was only three the last time you saw me." He pointed out and Scott gave him a confused look "wait what are you doing out here?" Scott asked and Eli replied "I was kind of wondering what you guys were doing out here." His eyes traveling over each face "Hiking. Can't you tell? It's a really nice night for hiking." Malia lied.

Jeez Malia I need to teach you to lie better.

"I know what you're looking for. The tree, right? That huge stump's that's like 20-feet wide?" He caught on, "You know how to find it?" Lydia asked, Eli made a face "Kind of. I sleepwalk. I don't know why. But I've just been doing it for the last few months." Scott looked at Eli "I used to wake up in the woods too." Eli turned his head to look as Scott "After you were bit by Peter, right?" Eli asked as Scott raised a brow "Yeah, your dad tell you a few stories?" Eli turned to smile at the group "Yeah, all of 'em." Sam looked towards Malia who rolled her eyes "what about the tree?" Eli looked towards her "It's not far from here." Malia looked at the group "I knew we were going the right way." She covered up the fact she had no idea where she was going, Eli shook his head "No, you were going the wrong way. It's that way." He said as he pointed the way he way facing "We were circling back, Thank you." She said before walking the the direction Eli pointed.

"Well, I can help you find it." He yelled after Malia as the rest of the group began to follow "Got it!" She yelled back, Sam chuckled as she shook her head. "Hey, come on.!"

It had started getting dark out and they still hadn't found the tree, Sam was getting tired and her legs definitely were hurting now.
"So aren't you the screamer?" Eli asked Lydia, as he almost slipped on a rock "Banshee." She corrected with an annoyed expression "Yeah, but banshees scream, right?" He asked confused "Well, they wail if you want to get technical, but yes." Sam could tell that Lydia was so done with this conversation "So how loud can you scream?" The teen asked making Lydia turn to look at him "Loud enough to create a burst of acoustic energy that could crush your skull." Eli looked at the woman with wide eyes "Good to know." He said before losing his footing and failing back into Sam, who caught him before he could fall on his face.

Eli straightened his back as he looked at Sam, his cheeks turning a bright pink "uh- thanks." He stuttered out, Sam smirked "looks like someone has two left feet." She said, Eli gulped, his heart beating faster than before "There it is." Malia said as she pushed past the two teens, making them look at each other one last time before following after her. (A- Someone save Eli)

"So what should we do about Argent?" Lydia asked as Sam and Eli stopped behind the adults "Uh, I mean, I'm never gonna get a signal now. Even if he's texting me, I wouldn't know." Scott said as he looked at his phone. "Well, we're going to have to do this now. We can't wait for him." Malia said as they all looked at the tree trunk "It's his daughter." Scott tried to reason "You said it has to be tonight." Malia said as she looked at Scott "He would want us to do this without him." Malia then turned to look at Eli, who was standing beside Sam with his hands on his hips, looking at the nemeton "Don't you have something to do?" Eli looked at her "Yeah. Yeah, I have a lacrosse game to play. Well, more like a lacrosse game to show up to since I, like, I never get to play." He said as he looked at everyone, his eyes landing back on Malia, who gave him the 'get the fuck out of here' look "Oh! You want me to leave? OK. Uh, I got it. OK, well, I'll tell my dad that I saw you guys?" He said as he began to back up"No, don't! Don't tell him anything. This is kind of..." Lydia finished off "personal." Eli nodded his head "All right. Don't worry. I won't say anything." He said as he began to walk away

"wait-!" Scott called out, Eli turned back around and Scott looked at Sam "go with him-" Scott said and Sam crossed her arms over her chest "what why!?" She asked and Scott rolled his eyes "because if something goes wrong I don't need you here when that happens, so go." Scott demanded.

"This is bullshit" Sam rolled her eyes as she began to pout her way to Eli, who watched with a smile "language!" Scott called after the two as they made their way back into the woods.

Not fair, I wanted to see the dead girl come back to life.
