Alexis' POV
Friday, I was sitting at my dad's desk as my phone vibrated for 4 p.m. "Time to get ready," I smiled as I grabbed my garment back in my shoebox. I'm walking to the bathroom and lock the door behind me so no other employee could walk in. "Okay." I put on the light purple dress with a silver glitter belt section. I also put on my silver heels that had a glittery bow on it. "Perfect." I did my makeup and my hair. I put everything in the garment bag. "I'll be lucky if I don't fall on my face tonight." I put on my necklace, earrings, bracelet, and a ring with a heart shaped diamond that Barry gave me. I opened the bathroom door and everyone was just staring at me. "It's creepy how everyone is waiting for me to leave the bathroom." I walked to my dad's desk and hung the garment bag on the filing cabinet. "Why can't everyone be like McGee and Ziva and not stare?"
"You look beautiful," Dad said walking in wearing his marine uniform. "Is that what you're wearing for dinner?"
"Yes," I smiled.
A guy walked in. "Leon," said Dad. "I have someone you want to meet." He looked at me. "Alexis, this is my boss Director Leon Vance."
"It's nice to meet you," Leon said shaking my hand. "Gibbs, she resembles your wife."
"I know," Dad smiled. "She's my daughter."
"You're little Alexis?" Leon asked. "I haven't seen you since you were three."
"I haven't been here for seven years," I nodded. "Dad thought moving to NYC to live with Uncle Joe would do me some good."
"Alexis, is Arely and her friends meeting us?" Dad asked.
"She's going to meet us there with Drew and Blake to get pictures because the guys have to do a sound check tonight at the mall," I nodded. "She wanted to see me in the dress she chose with my shoes and makeup done."
"We should get going," Dad nodded. "Let's go gang." Dad put his arm around me as we walked down to the car. We got in and Dad drove us to the convention center. "Hey, are you nervous?" Dad asked as we got out of the car. "Or is something else wrong with you?"
"I'm fine, Dad," I smiled grabbing my silver clutch. "Just don't wanna fall on my face." Dad smiled as he held out his left arm. I grabbed ahold and we walked to the building. I saw Arely, Drew, and Blake. "Arely." I let go of my dad and ran to hug her. "So, what do you think?"
"You look amazing," Arely said looking at my outfit as she let go of my hands. "It looks great on you. I love your shoes though."
"I was suppose to wear it for prom but Dad bought me those Paris shoes," I smiled. Arely looked at Dad and saluted him. "You don't have to do that. You're family."
"Yeah, what a messed up family I have," Arely sighed. "Mom kicked me out."
"Why didn't you call me?" Dad asked. "We could've gotten your stuff and you can move in with us. There's plenty of room in the house."
"Your lucky I didn't unpack anything," Arely smiled. "Call me when you get home tonight and Drew and Blake will drop me off at your place."
"That's perfectly fine with me," I smiled.
"You should get a picture with Blake," Drew smirked.
"Oh, what?" Blake asked. Blake and I stood side by side. "Like this?"
"Put your arms around each other," Arely raised a brow. "Come on, Blake. You're a singer who hugs strangers. This is my best friend."
"Yeah, and her dad's a marine," Blake stated the obvious.
"Come here," I said. I put my right arm around Blake and put my left hand on his stomach. "He'll only hurt you if you hurt me." Blake relaxed a little and put his left arm around me. Arely took the picture. "See, that didn't hurt."
"You're coming to our concert, righ" Drew asked. I nodded. "I'll see you later tonight."
"Bye guys," I smiled. They left as Dad put his arm around me. I looked at Dad. "What?"
"Blake seems like a nice kid," Dad smiled.
"Dad," I giggled. We walked inside. Dad had introduced me to many people. It seemed more like an event then a dinner and it was. My phone was vibrated in my clutch. I looked at it. "I have to get this. They're my contact in Star Labs from NYC. Hopefully they have something good for me." I walked a few feet away and picked up. "Hey Barry."
"I have to talk to you," Barry sighed.
"Convention Center in DC," I stated hanging up. I walked outside and Barry was there in his Flash uniform. "Hey, what's wrong?"
Barry took off his mask. "I have to go back in time to save my mom. And doing so, I'll change everything. It'll change that we never met," Barry sighed and that broke my heart. I let a tear slip as I pulled Barry into a hug. "Alexis, before I go back I have to tell you that I love you more than a sister." We just stood there hugging each other. "But I knew you needed a big brother more than you needed a boyfriend."
"Barry," I said letting him go. I held my right hand to his cheek as I nodded. "Stop worrying about everyone else and do what your heart wants you to do." I let tears slip. "No matter what happens, I know you will find a way to see me again because I do love you, Barry. You never gave me a chance to tell you." He leaned in and we kissed. "Do what's right for you."
"The inscription for our love was always on the ring," Barry smiled as he put his mask on. "I love you."
"I love you too," I sighed as he left. People started walking out of the gala as I wiped the tears from my face. Dad walked up beside me and put his arm around me. "Can we go home now?"
"Yeah," Dad nodded. We got into the car and he drove us home. We walked inside. "Alexis." Dad stopped me halfway up the stairs. "What's going on?"
"Just I could be losing Barry, Dad," I sighed. "I don't wanna talk about this." I went up to my room and closed my door. I sent a text to Arely and changed into a pair of shorts and my favorite over sized sweater, which is a small size but that's the style of the sweater. I also took off my makeup, necklace, earrings, and bracelet. There was a knock on my door fifteen minutes later. I opened the door. Arely, Drew, and Blake walked in and closed the door. "Hey guys."
"What's wrong?" Arely asked as I got in bed and hugged my light blue pillow. "I know you've been crying even if you have taken off your makeup. You have puffy red eyes."
"Barry," I spoke up. "He's going back in time to save his mom and in doing so, he would never meet me." I nodded. "Then he told me he loves me more than a sister and told me the inscription is on the ring." I fiddled with the ring on my finger. "The inscription is on my ring," I whispered to myself. I took off the ring and looked on the inside of the ring. Sure enough, our names were on the inside of the ring: Alexis Gibbs and Barry Allen, Partners in Crime Forever & Always. I smiled reading that. "Knowing that he is changing everything, I'm losing him." I put the ring on my finger. "I never thought I'd lose someone I've loved for seven years. He was always there for me but I never knew how he felt."
"Do you love Barry?" Arely asked sitting next to me. I nodded. "Does he love you?" I nodded. "Then he shouldn't be an idiot."
"But I told him to follow his heart and save himself," I sighed. "He's been so worried about saving everyone else when he lost sight of doing something for him." I nodded. "I just hope tomorrow is a better day. I'll see you all tomorrow. Goodnight guys."
"Goodnight," Arely sighed.
"Dad won't let guys sleep over," I stated before my door closed. I clapped twice and my lights turned off. I turned on my lamp. I looked at my phone and remember I had Barry and I as my lock screen and Barry as my wallpaper. "I'll miss you, Barry." I put my phone down and turned off my lamp. "Hope you make the right decision."
