Alexis' POV
We got to NCIS. Blake and I followed Dad. "What's going on?" I asked.
"Report to Alexis," Dad said. "Alexis, use my desk. Ziva, you're with me."
"Okay," Ziva said.
I sat down and Blake stood next to the file cabinet. "So, what's going on?" I asked.
"Faulty armor," Tony replied. "The ceramic shatter is deadly."
"Who is in charge?" asked a last walking in with a group of older women.
"That would be Special Agent Inthavong," Tony said pointing at me.
I stood up and approached her halfway. "Hi, I'm Supervisory Special Agent Alexis Inthavong of the FBI," I said shaking her hand. "How can I help you?"
"Where's the boss of NCIS?" asked the lady.
"My father in down in interrogation and he put me in charge," I stated. "If you would please lower your tone with me, we can resolve this."
"We need an explanation," she replied.
"Who's we?" I asked.
"Other mothers and I who have bought extra armor to send to our son and daughters," said the lady. "Are you saying the armor I bought him paralyzed him?"
"McGee," said Dad walking in.
"Yes boss," McGee stood up.
"Take the ladies to the conference room," Dad nodded.
"Right this way, ladies," McGee sighed.
They left. "Blake," Dad sighed. "You think you and your friends can light up the Christmas spirit with a few Christmas songs?"
"We have our own Christmas songs," Blake sighed. "Would that work?"
"Do what you need to to keep them occupied," Dad sighed. "For awhile or something. Just do it."
"Okay," I sighed. "Go get everyone else and we can go to the conference room." Blake left and McGee cane back. "Hey, so Dad is making the guys sing to keep the ladies occupied for awhile. Would you and Tony care to stand in so they don't try to rip their heads off?"
"Yeah," McGee nodded. The guys and Arely walked over to us. "You guys ready?" I grabbed the guitar from under Dad's desk. "And I didn't know she could play."
"Let's do it," Drew smiled.
"Alright," I smiled. Tony, McGee, and I walked into the conference room. "Sorry for the slight delay but to pass time, I have some people here to sing songs about Christmas." The guys walked in with Arely. "So just sit back and enjoy the free entertainment while you wait."
"Okay," Drew smiled. "We are After Romeo and we're going to sing an original song called The World Can't Wait Anymore."
"With me on guitar," I smiled.
I started playing. The guys started making music with their body. "Some people never had the chance to celebrate. They never got a gift, nobody thought of them," sang Drew and Arely. "This ear is time to help someone less fortunate. We got a lot to give. The show 'em we exist."
"So turn your lights up let 'em know it now it's Christmas. Got that music playing loud on Christmas. Tell em the world can't wait anymore. It's not going to be like it was before," we sang. "It's your chance let Santa take a break this Christmas. If you got what it really takes on Christmas, tell 'em the world can't wait anymore. Tell 'em the world can't wait anymore."
"Guess we avoid the truth because it's hard to hear. What happened to the love? Is something wrong with us?" Jayk sang. "See all the snow throughout the world can't freeze the tears. We gotta lead the way. It's our turn today."
"May day. May day. I think I need some saving of my own," Blake and I sang as we looked at each other. "Help me. Help me." Blake put his arm around me. "There's no way I can do this alone."
"So turn your lights up let 'em know it now it's Christmas. Got that music playing loud on Christmas," we sang. "Tell em the world can't wait anymore. It's not going to be like it was before."
"Tell 'em the world can't wait. We can't be afraid of lending a hand to who lost their way. 'Cause what's at stake is people's fate. Your hero wears capes," TC rapped. "But mine wear faith. Since they were kids, ain't had a bed. No food or roof over head. I think it's time you help somebody. Don't be selfish man, you won't be sorry."
I faded the chords out and the ladies clapped. "Thank you," Drew smiled. "Our next selection is Grandma's House."
We sang through three other songs before Dad decided to walk in. "Thank you for waiting patiently," Dad nodded. He looked at me. "You and the group may exit now."
"Thank you," I smiled. We all went and gathered around my dad's desk. Blake sat in his chair and I sat in his lap. Arely and Drew were standing and he had his arm around her waist. "Honestly, this is my first best Christmas in DC."
