Alexis' POV
I finished cleaning the tables. "Okay, Beatriz," I sighed. "I'm done cleaning the tables."
"Okay Alexis," Beatriz nodded towards me. "Do you want a ride home?"
"No, it's a nice night out. Tiffany is going to walk me home," I nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow, Beatriz." I folded my apron and put it under the counter. "I'm out." I walked out of the resturant and met Tiffany out front. "Hey."
"Hey hun," Tiffany said as she hugged me. "After two years, I thought you'll get used to me."
"Well, I get to go home soon so I don't think I'll be that much of a bother," I smiled. "It's great that Uncle Joe hired you to look after me but I have Barry and Nick."
"Yeah but you're still a minor," Tiffany sighed as we started walking. "And your uncle wants me to be with you."
"But I'm being treated like a kid," I sighed.
"Sometimes I wish I can leave you alone because I know you can be responsible," Tiffany nodded.
"Barry can move at the speed of light," I thought to myself. "At least I know I can never be late."
"Your Uncle Joe is just like your father," Tiffany stated.
"Alright, just stop," I stated. "You have no right talking about my father like that." I looked at Tiffany as we kept walking. "You know nothing about him."
"Sweetheart, you were sent here when you were 10," Tiffany explained. "How much could you possibly know about him?"
"My father, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, was a Marine turned NCIS special agent," I defended. "You think twice before saying anything about him." Before Tiffany could say anything, I was pushed into a car and a guy tried to grab Tiffany's purse. "Tiffany! Just let him have it."
"There, take it," Tiffany said letting go of her purse. "Take it."
A gunshot was heard. The guy ran off as Tiffany fell. "Tiffany," I sighed. She was shot in the head. "No, no, no." The medics and police arrived. The medics to me to the ambulance and sat me in the back. "This is thr worst night of my life."
"Is there anyone we can call?" the medic asked.
"Uhm, SVU Detective Amaro and Barry Allen," I sighed. The medic told the officer for me and he started examining me. Now what am I supposed to tell Uncle Joe? The babysitter he hired was killed over her purse. I sighed. "I can't wait till I go back to DC."
"Alexis," Nick stated.
"Nick," I said. I ran up to him and gave him a hug. "Thank you for being here."
"I'm just glad you're okay," Nick said letting go.
"Alexis," Barry sighed.
"Barry," I smiled as I hugged him. "I hope I didn't ruin your date."
"Are you kidding me?" Barry said cupping my face. "I choose my family over anyone. Well, technically you are my only family so I choose you over everyone anytime of the day." He hugged me. "I just needed to know my sister is okay."
"I'm fine," I sighed. I looked at Nick. "Nick, I'm sorry but we need to break up. I'm going to head back to DC in the morning." I sighed. "I'm perfectly fine to go back to my father and I've already graduated. The only thing I was staying in the city was for prom but no. I'm sorry." I looked at Barry. "Can we go?"
"Yeah," Barry said as he put his arm around me. We started walking. "You want me to asleep over?"
"If that's not too much to ask of you?" I sighed. "I need you to help me pack in the morning." We got home and I changed and got in bed. Barry was making himself comfortable on the couch I had my bedroom. He had agreed to help me pack in the morning and take me to Washington DC. Friday morning I woke up at 7 a.m. "Early mornings." Barry walked out of my bathroom and he looked at me. "Barry, can you start packing my clothes as I shower and get ready?"
"Yeah," Barry nodded. "I'll do that."
"Thank you," I smiled. I got showered and got dressed in skinny jeans, black high heel ankle boots, and a red plaid shirt. I walked back into my room and Barry has everything packed, except for one thing. "I'm going to miss tomorrow's prom." I looked at my white prom dress. "I remember when you helped me pick the dress out."
"Are you ready?" Barry asked as he strapped my suitcase on his back. I grabbed my dress. "Alexis?"
"I'm ready," I sighed. "I need to go to NCIS." Barry picked me up bridal style and we got to NCIS in no time. He put me down and put my suitcase on the ground. I held my dress. "I guess this is goodbye."
"I'm only a phone call away," Barry smiled.
"Thank you," I smiled. Barry kissed me on the cheek and disappeared. "Goodbye." I walked inside with my dress and suitcase and took the elevator to the third floor. I walked out of the elevator and stopped at the desks that were before the stairs. I remember Dad telling me that. "Okay."
"Hi," said a guy as he stood up from his desk and walked over to me. "I am Tony DiNozzo. Special Agent Tony DiNozzo. How can I help you?"
"I need to speak with Agent Gibbs, please," I sighed. Tony pointed at my dad who sat at his desk. "Thank you." I was up to my dad's desk. "Mhmm."
"Alexis," Dad smiled. He got up and hugged me. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm 17," I smiled. "I am able to take care of myself now." Dad nodded. "But seriously, after seven years this is how you greet me, Dad?"
"Dad?" Tony ask. "Eeee..."
"Alexis, I take it that you met Tony DiNozzo," Dad sighed. I nodded. "This is Ziva DaVid and over here is Timothy McGee."
"Nice to finally meet you," Ziva replied. "Gibbs has told me a lot about you."
"I'm not surprised," I smiled.
"I'm going to have McGee drop you off," Dad stated. "I have a crime scene to attend to with Ziva and Tony. McGee, don't leave her side at all."
"Yes, boss," McGee nodded.
"You call him McGee too, Alexis," Dad replied.
"Dad, before he takes me home, is Ducky and Abby still here?" I asked. Dad nodded. "Can I go see them before going home?"
"Yes," Dad nodded. I put my dress on his chair and hugged him. "Why do you have a dress with you? Especially a white dress."
"It was my prom dress but since I'm not going to prom, I mind as well save it for something else," I said. "I might have use for it later so I'm not too worried about spending money on something I might not even wear because I am going to wear it sooner or later."
"You're going to prom with a really tomorrow," Dad pointed at me. "No ifs, ands, or buts."
"Okay," I nodded.
"Take care of her, McGee," Dad said walking off.
"Yes, boss," McGee replied.
"Time to go see Ducky!" I exclaimed. I left my dress and suitcase at my dad's desk. I ran down to autopsy and accidentally bumped into someone. "I am so sorry."
"No, you're fine," said the guy. "I'm Jimmy Palmer. I works down here with --"
"Ducky got an extra pair of hands helping him?" I asked cutting him off.
"Jimmy, this is Alexis," McGee smiled. "She's Gibbs daughter."
"Ohhh," Jimmy hesitated. "I gotta go."
He left. "Okay," I raised a brow. I shrugged it off and walked into the autopsy room. "Ducky!"
"So I heard Alexis Michelle Gibbs was in town," Ducky said turning around. We hugged. "Its good to see you again."
"I've missed you so much, Ducky," I smiled as we let go. "I'm back now and staying for good."
"Good," Ducky replied. "Since you've been gone I've been talking to the corpses and it's not fun because the conversation has been one sided. Now that you're here I could actually have someone real to talk to you." I looked at Ducky. "Other than Mr. Palmer, of course."
"I won't be here tomorrow, Ducky," I sighed. "Dad's making me to go prom with Arely."
"I'll be up there with everyone else tomorrow night to see you and take pictures with you," Ducky smiled.
"Alright, Ducky," I smiled. "Well, I gotta go see Abby and then head home. I'll see you tomorrow." I went to Abby's lab. She ran up to me, picked me up, and spun me around. "I've missed you too."
"Gibbs called me on my way to work," Abby smiled as she put me down. "So, I got you a gift." She handed me an envelope. "I got this just for you."
"You didn't have to get me anything," I smiled as I opened the envelope. "Two tickets to see Hunter Hayes?! Wait, but you hate country music. What, why would you get me this?"
"I might hate country music but you don't," Abby smiled. "We are going to the concert together and I'm going to enjoy it. Come on."
"Alright, next week," I smiled. I hugged her. "You're the best." I let go. "I have to go because I have to get up early a call and tell her she's taking me to prom because my dad wants me to go to prom. So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow night if you're seeing me out?" Abby nodded. "Okay." We went back to my dad's desk. I was about to grab my suitcase and my dress but McGee grabbed them. "Wow, you are a gentleman."
"I take my job seriously," McGee smiled.
"Okay," I smiled. We walked down to his car. He put my stuff in the trunk and opened the door for me. I got in and he closed the door. McGee got into the car. "I know you got questions in your mind."
"I've been working with your dad for almost a year now and he never mentioned he had a daughter," McGee replied. "How long have you been away from him in DC? Because he's never brought you in for bring your kid to work day."
"I've been gone for seven years," I nodded. We got home and I walked through the front door with the key I kept with me. McGee followed me up to my room with my dress and suitcase. "I can't believe my dad chose everything without my help. This is the exactly how I imagined my room when I came back." My phone rang and I looked at it. "Its Arely!!!" I picked up. "Hey!" I started unpacking. "What's up?"
"You're going to prom with me tomorrow and that's that," Arely replied.
"Okay," I smiled as I got done packing. I put my suitcase under my bed and hung my dress in front of my body length mirror. "I already have my dress and shoes. I'm doing my own makeup and hair."
"Okay," Arely sighed. " I guess I'll meet you at your dad's job tomorrow around say 6ish?"
"Yeah," I smiled. "That works for me."
"I'll see you then," Arely replied. "WAIT ALEXIS!!!"
"What?" I asked.
"You need a date," Arely smiled. "I have a date so you need one too."
"Woman, I just got to DC and you're already ask me to find a date for prom?" I asked. "I don't know. Dad probably wants me to be protected so, he'll probably ask one of his team members to be my date."
"What about your so called brother?" Arely asked.
"I'll call Barry so he can meet Dad but I don't know," I sighed. "We'll see what happens tomorrow."
"And do you want the limo to pick you up at your house instead and we could go see your dad together at the base?" Arely asked. "That way we can all get to prom together?"
"Yeah but what about your date?" I asked.
"He's meeting me at the location of the prom," Arely excited stated. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay? I gotta go and get my nails done. I'm glad my best friend is back in town. I love you."
"I love you too," I smiled and hung up. "Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for you McGee! You're helping me with some if my prom stuff." I looked at him. "Are you okay with that?" He nodded. "Good because I'll need help."
