Arely's POV
Wednesday morning I woke up at six am and got ready. I got dressed in a red flowy top, skinny jeans, and my combat boots. As soon as I got done doing my hair, there was a knock on my door and my mom walked in. "Hi Mom," I smiled.
"Going out again I see," Mom replied.
"Yeah, with Alexis back, everything could go back to the way it was," I nodded. "I'm glad to have my best friend back."
"Why are you waking up early?" Mom asked. "Ever since she's been back from New York, she's been different."
"Mom, Alexis is still the same girl we've known from seven years ago," I smiled. "We're going to NCIS to hang out with Ducky for a little bit and then we're going to the mall to find a dress for her to wear to the military dinner she's going to with her dad Friday." There was a honk. "Look, that's her now. I gotta go." I grabbed my purse and my phone and left the house. I got into the backseat of the car. "Alright. What's on the agenda today?"
"Well, we're going to NCIS for a few hours, Dad's buying us lunch, and then we go shopping," Alexis smiled. "Oh, we're shopping for an outfit for tomorrow night's karaoke. Also, my dress for Friday."
"Sounds good," I smiled. We got to NCIS and I followed Alexis to autopsy as McGee stayed at his desk on the third floor. We sat down in the chair. "Why are we always in autopsy?"
"Because Miss Gibbs likes to keep me company otherwise I start talking to the corpse," Ducky replied.
"But you have..."
"Ah, yes, Mr. Palmer isn't as fascinating as your friend," Ducky added.
"I'm right here, doctor," Jimmy sighed. "I'm sorry, Alexis, but don't you have someplace better to hang out?"
"Excuse me? Ducky doesn't have a problem with me hanging out here," Alexis stated. "I've always hung out here with Ducky when I was younger."
My phone vibrate. "It's Drew," I said looking at my phone. "I gotta reply."

Drew: OK....doing anything tomorrow night??
Me: karaoke night with Alexis and her dad.
Drew: can I join??
Me: no, I'm sorry. Its kinda of a thing Alexis and I do. We just want things to be like old times. Maybe another day.

Me: I'll try
Drew: alright babe! Have fun, I gotta get back to rehearsal. I love you!

"Mr. Palmer, I'd rather not question her whereabouts if I were you," Ducky replied. "One complaint from her can cause you your job."
We stayed their for a few hours and Alexis' dad walked in. "Hi Dad," Alexis smiled.
"Hi Mr. Gibbs," I nodded.
"Arely, you can call me Dad," Mr. Gibbs replied.
"It just doesn't feel right," I sighed. "I stayed away a lot when Alexis moved but only because my mom told me to."
"Whenever you're ready," Mr. Gibbs nodded at me. "Your salad combos are on my desk. Go and eat."
"Thanks Dad," Alexis smiled. I followed her up to the third floor. "Hey McGee!"
We sat down at her dad's desk. "Hey Alexis," McGee smiled. "So after you eat?"
"Yeah," Alexis nodded.
"I don't get a hi?" Tony asked.
"Good afternoon, Tony," Alexis sighed.
"Do you want to know what you're up for Saturday?" I asked. "I have videos."
"Sure," Alexis smiled. We ate as I showed her the After Romeo concert videos that were on my phone. We laughed at the video where Devon was doing the twerk contest with other fans. "Isn't his parents there?"
"It's Devin," I smiled. "You'll understand when you meet him."
"Okay," Alexis nodded. We watched the rest of the videos as we finished our lunch. We threw the rest of it away. "They're all cute and amazing."
"If you had to choose one," I smirked. "Which one would it be?"
"The guy with the shag," Alexis blushed.
"Blake English," I nodded. "The 6'2" choreographer of the group."
"He's adorable," Alexis smiled. "Hey, McGee, we are ready."

"Okay," McGee said as he grabbed his keys. "Let's go." We followed McGee down to his car. We got in and he drove us to the mall. We walk through the front doors. "What are you going to look for first?"
"My dress," Alexis smiled.
"Of course we would go and look at dresses," I smiled. McGee and I followed Alexis into the warehouse that was like an island of dresses. "What is this place?"
"Always & Forever," Alexis smiled. A lady asked up to us. "I don't know though."
"Hi, I'm Amy. Is there something specific I can help you look for?" she asked. "What's the special occasion if you don't mind me asking?"
"It's for a military dinner with my dad Friday night," Alexis nodded. "He sent me here to find a dress."
"Okay," Amy smiled. "I have a few dresses you might want to try on. If you would please go and take a seat in the third dressing room, I'll bring some dresses for you. Your friends could sit in the chairs in front of the mirror."
"Okay," Alexis sighed. McGee and I sat down as she closed the for behind her. She reopened the door and she was in a silk robe. "I'm loving this day already."
"Come on," I smiled. "It can't be that bad." We spent four hours with Alexis trying on many dresses. She walked out of the room wearing a white dress. "You look like a bride."
"And that's the last thing I need," Alexis sighed looking at herself in the mirror. "I don't wanna wear another white dress because my dad was almost in tears when I went to prom in a white dress. So I don't want to wear another white dress until my wedding day." I sighed. "Can my best friend go and find a dress?"
"Actually, I did," I smiled.
"I have it in the room," Amy sighed.
"Alright," I nodded as Amy closed the door. Alexis walked out in the dress I had chosen. She stood in front of the mirror. "So?"
"Its shorts and I love the color," Alexis smiled. "And this glitter section." She turned and looked at me. "What do you think?"
"I love the dress on you," I smiled. "That's the one."
"McGee?" Alexis asked.
"You look beautiful," McGee smiled. "And the dress goes with the shoes that you bought for prom but you weren't able to wear them."
"Yeah," Alexis smiled as she looked in the mirror. "This is the dress." She changed and bought the dress. McGee carried the dress for her. "You know exactly what I like to wear."
"What are best friends for, right?" I asked as we hugged each other. Thursday night came by quickly and I spent Wednesday night at Alexis' place. We got dressed for Karaoke Love. "How do I look?"
"I love it," Alexis smiled. "Red is definitely your color." I was in a red crop top, black skinny jeans, blank combat boots, a black sleeves leather jacket, and a red bandana on my head. "How about me?"
"Black skin tight jeans, black high heel ankle boots and a royal blue top," I smiled. "You look gorgeous. Especially with the blonde in your hair. Are those real?"
"No," Alexis sighed. "I might get it done early Saturday morning."
"Sounds good," I smiled.
There was a knock on the door. "Come in," Alexis replied. Her dad opened the door. "Hi Dad."
"You look beautiful, sweetie," Mr. Gibbs smiled. "Ready to go?"
"Yeah," Alexis nodded. We got into Mr. Gibbs car and he drove us to Karaoke Love in time for the first duet round. "I just entered us."
"What song are we singing?" I asked.
"Wow!" exclaimed the MC. "Alright. Our first contestants haven't been here since they were younglings." I smiled. "Let's have Alexis Gibbs and her best friend, Arely Aguirre."
"Come on," Alexis said as she pulled me onstage. We were each handed a mic. "You want me to choose?"
"It's your night," I smiled.
"So, what songs are you guess hitting the night off with?" the MC asked.
We decided to sing We'll Be The Stars by Sabrina Carpenter. We won by a landslide. We party the rest of the at Karaoke Love and Mr. Gibbs dropped me off at home. I'm walked up to my room and plopped down in bed. Before I could do anything else, someone knocked on the door.
"Come in," I said a I sat up in bed. My mom opened my door. "I'm not going to discuss this."
"I guess you're going out tomorrow with Alexis again," Mom sighed.
"Mom, I don't spend everyday with Alexis," I sighed. "Her father is a Marine so she's an army brat." I crossed my arms. "I'm hanging out with Drew tomorrow because Alexis has that military dinner." I looked at my mom. "Can we please not start this? I'm going to bed." I closed the door and got in bed. "It's been a long day."
