Shuris pov
As I work in my lab my mind starts to worry for the wakandan that is being held away.
Her sudden capture was a shock to me, especially with our allies underneath the ocean. This was more complicated than I thought. Maybe meeting Namor wasn't a wise decision.
At the same time why would he take a single wakandan away from our nation? Its all seems bizarre and out of the blue this has happened. What's even more stressful was The Council members were aware of this and questioned Asha and her fathers history here. So many questions I had no answer too. This was all happening a little to soon especially with our recent losses we faced as a nation. Now, I need to do everything I could to not let this become bigger and more exposed to our whole nation. I needed to do this peacefully and quietly.
Namor admitted he did take her. The reason? I'm not to sure. What I needed to do first was somehow speak to Asha. One on one without him in the picture. I needed to ask her questions. But before that, I need to figure out myself who she was and why she was so important for the Talokans to take.
I place my kimoyo beads down in front of me and click on one of the buttons to summon my AI Griot. He warmly greets me as his physically form glows a yellow light on the wall. "Hello, Shuri."
"Groit, can you look up any information on this Wakandan. Asha."
I say as I skim my fingers along my beads. "Of course. Searching Asha." He speaks throughout the lab and a few transmitters go off untill something pops up.
"Theirs not to much information on her. Only that she was born in Wakanda." Griot says and I place my hand under my chin as I see her picture pop up with some information on the bottom.
"That's strange. Their should be more. Can you look up anything on her baba Jawara?"
"Of course." He says and after a few second nothing comes up. "Their is no information on this wakandan." He says and I raise my eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean. This cant be right." I say and use my finger to click back on board to Asha's profile. I examine the information back on Ashas board until my eyes lock on a name. Her last name.
Sasilhá.
That's not a Wakanda last name? "Griot, what origin is the name Sasilha?" I ask as I walk in anticipation. "Sasilha, which means "clear water" is originated from Yucatan Mayan." His voice echo's throughout the lab and I shut my eyes tight. "This cannot be." I say as I rub my head.
If this was her last name did this mean she isn't fully..wakandan? Is her father even wakandan? I sigh and refuse to believe any of this.
"Theirs something wrong with this, I must do some more digging. Griot, pull up any other files relating to this Wakandan or his daughter."
It was important that I see this Wakandan again asap. The last time he was before me he barely spoke a word. Maybe this time he is open to conversating this time. Just me and him. He was the only one that might have correct answers about the identity of his daughter. As I sit on the throne the Dora Milaja surround me in protection. The doors open to reveal the man known as Jawara.
He is escorted by two of my soldiers and they salute me as they approach me. Jawara makes no eye contact with me and his eyes are glued to the ground as he stands before me. I nod my head to my soldiers and they leave the room in silence. The only people in the room me and him.
I clear my throat as to try to get his attention and he slowly looks up locking his eyes with mine. All I could see in his face was sadness and some distress. He looks like his been going through a lot but mostly tired. I decide to make sure that I address this man without aggression but calmness.
"Hello, are you aware of why you are?" I ask kindly and he shakes his head. " No, but I - i do not know where my daughter is." He suddenly cries and I sigh deeply. I don't think it was wise at this time to tell him that his daughter was taken. I should take this as slowly as I can. " You are here because I have discovered somethings and I want to be able to know if it is all true."
Jawara shakes his head. "I know what I have done, and it is my fault. But please do not put my daughter away." He speaks clearly and I advert my eyes to him. " It seems that you are not wakandan." I say and he looks up frightened. "What I want to know is..how? and why did you sneak pass our boarders .."
Ashas pov
I have found a way to escape.
There was a strange pool of water that lead me to a beach. I had swam all the way through it and came up to what looked like a jungle.
I didn't want to get out because I wasn't to sure if this place was being under surveillance. But I have planned to go back just to see what laid beyond it.
As I freshen up ,I made a physical plan in my head to see what I would do if that was a way out. I knew that the beach was somewhere along the Yucatan peninsula. My only thing was how was I going to get back to Wakanda?
Namor suddenly crosses my mind and I sigh heavily. I wasnt sure how to feel about him in the moment. Its a little confusing. He just seems like he kept battling with himself about what to do. Also, he didn't want to acknowledge his feelings.for me. He is still wanting to attack Wakanda again. I want him to resist. Why would he do this again? Was he that desperate?
For now it's best I keep my distance and try to escape from him.
As I leave my hut I start to walk straight toward his caves. When I approach it its very quiet and I stop in my tracks when I see a tall blue woman leave his hut. I've never seen her before. She wears a red cape that drapes down over her back and a unquie topper on her head. She looks around before jumping into the deep waters.
Who is she? I become curious and wonder if his in there. I sneakily walk closer to his hut and when I enter.
No one is here.
I look around confused. "Hello?" I say just to hear if someone would respond. Silence.
Its strange how that woman was here unannounced. I turn to walk out the hut and start to head for the pool caves. Maybe this wasn't the right time to talk? I guess keeping a distance would be best for now.
As I go to approach the secret cave I quickly dive into the pool of water without a sound. As I swim the water is cold here but gets warmer as I swim closer to the surface.
Finally, I come up for air and I wipe my face slowly looking around. I scan the area in hopes no one was nearby and thankfully it was clear. I step out the water dripping wet and place my feet on the warm sand.
I examine the jungle and start to navigate through it. The air was humid and the sound of the ocean was nearby. The sounds of birds were in the air and it felt very foreign to hear such sounds again. As I approach the beach I stop and stare at the beautiful view.
It all seemed familiar to me.
I inhale the air and exhale slowly closing my eyes. I missed watching the sun rise and set back in Wakanda so this was pretty comforting to me.
I suddenly hear strange sounds nearby. I duck down and go to hide by a tree. The sounds are coming from my far left. It sounds like its getting closer. I duck down further and watch as a blue figure emerges out the jungle.
My blood freezes as I take a closer look. Its actually a person in suit. A very familiar suit. They stop in their tracks on the beach and somehow the mask is uncovered magically. I gasp and cover my mouth at the person I see.
Okoye.
