Okoye stands at the edge of the river staring out into the water. She scans the area looking for any unusual signs of sightings.
"She was here." Okoye says to General Aneka who was also scanning the area as well. "How do you know that?" She replies walking up to her. Okoye glances back at her before looking back out to the river. " Because I was close to her. She is like my sister. It just seems unusual for her to be missing suddenly." General Aneka stood in thought before speaking. " Tell me Okoye. Did you have anything to do with Asha getting into Dora Milaje?" Okoye looks back at her in offense.
"Be honest with me, Okoye. You do not have to lie to me." She says and Okoye nods. " I've always seen such a fire in her to become a warrior for us. So, I dedicated my time into helping her train. I've seen so much of myself in her. She has great potential." Okoye says and General Aneka smiles softly with a nod. " It is not a crime what you did. Obviously she has worked hard to earn her rank. You've done well in teaching her."
General Aneka says and Okoye smiles. Suddenly, she sees an unusual footprint behind General Aneka. She goes to observe it closely and touch it. "Oh no." She says and General Aneka quicky comes to her side to look at it. " This footprint looks identical to - those creatures." Okoye says in fear. " Do you think she was taken?" General Aneka asks in fear as well. Okoye looks to the water and her intuition strongly tells her something . "They've been watching us." Okoye says and stands up.
"What are you talking about?" General asks. "Those underwater creatures. You must send a search party or the warriors into the ocean." General Aneka raises her eyebrows. "Okoye not to be rude but I am general here-"
"listen to me!" Okoye cuts her off and she looks at her in offense. "General, I know I have no title in the Dora Milja but I am still key to wakanda soldiers. I have fought a long side in the battle with those people. Please take my word. You must go down there and find her." Okoye says sternly and General Aneka looks to her in thought.
"Okay. You are right. But you are asking for us to dive deep into the ocean and risk our lives. Okoye, we do not know where or how Asha got down their. We know nothing of their location." She says and Okoye nods. " Yes, but I know someone who does."
The smell of the ocean lingers in my nose as my eyes are closed . I find myself drifting on top of it with the warm wind hitting my face. I suddenly feel close to the sun. I flutter my eyes open and realize I'm in the arms of someone. I look up and see that God like man looking down at me. I realize I'm in his arms. " Put me down!" I say furiously and he chuckles and I feel his vibration of his laugh in his chest. He bites down on his lip and I suddenly become flustered in my face. He then leans his head forward like his gonna kiss me and my heart starts beating fast in my chest. His lips are inches away from mine and suddenly im let go of from his arms and falling straight toward the ocean. As I look down I prepare myself as I hit the ocean water. I cover my face and suddenly.
I wake up gasping for air. I look around my surroundings and realize it was just a dream. I feel sweaty as I sit up on my cot. What kind of dream was that? Our enemy acting like his gonna kiss me? Then dropping me into the ocean? I
sigh getting up from my cot and wiping my face. As I walk out of my hut I notice a basket of fruit on the floor. I pick it up and go to bite into one of them. The village people has started to be friend me while I stayed in their civilization. I've had a few children come up to me and touch my hair and skin.
" TBa'ax espectáculo ka in wil" They would say while mesmerized by me. I also noticed my skin on my fingers started to become soggy. As I stare at it I start to worry that the atmosphere the caves have will start to affect the rest of my skin on my body. I had not seen the sunlight in what felt like days and I was exposed to a different environment. Who knew what changes this cave could do to my human body.
I put my hand down to avoid overthinking and start to walk out into the small city. The sounds of children laughing was heard nearby and I advert my eyes to a young girl and boy playing. I notice they had a ball and a strange structure of a circle stuck out in a statue. One notices my presence and smiles. " Ko'oten báaxal yéetel to'on." She says and I smile walking up to them. I watch as they play a round and realize it's a game of some sort. They try to make the ball go into the circle on the wall. "I want to try." I say and one of them looks at me not understanding. I laugh and try to show them by faking a throw into the hole.
They both smile and throw me the ball. I catch it and it's hard and heavy as I try to throw it in the hoop. They laugh harder and I giggle laughing at myself. They must think I suck at this. Suddenly, an odd sound is heard and the children look to each other as they run toward a pool of water. I watch in curiosity as they stand by it. They wave at me and I wave back before jumping into the water disappearing.
I run up to the pool of water to see it leading into the depths of the ocean. I wonder what the underwater nation looks like. My mind starts to wander. My escape plan to look for a way out is limited. I was pretty much stuck here until someone came for me. I hope they would.
I look around noticing no one nearby and start to walk in the direction of the tunnels nearby. As I push the cave wall I walk into darkness. I suddenly hear that melody I heard a few days ago. I stop in my tracks listening. What is that? It sounds so enchanting. I start to step and follow the sounds. As I near the familiar cave the sounds get louder. The blue plant gleams in the darkness of the cave. I near it and stare at it.
Beautiful. I suddenly touch the plant and skim my finger over it. A piece breaks off and I stare at it in between my fingers. Suddenly, I have it to my lips and next im eating it. The flavor is bitter and not flavorful. I swallow it and suddenly I feel a poisonous liquid seeping down my throat. I hold my throat starting to choke. My airway to breath is blocked and I start wheezing for air. I hear the faint sounds of running and yelling as I fall to the floor facing the ceiling. My vision starts to blur and I see the familiar face of a man. I gasp for air harder but wasn't getting any . I guess this was it. I guess this is how I would die.
I was doomed from the beginning when I was captured. I try to speak ,but before I can I descend into the darkness behind my eyelids and take my last breath.
