I sat on top of the examination table, crossing my legs and keeping them as close to my body as I could. I wanted to disappear. Even on top of the table, I still had to look up to see his face. He noticed this and exhaled, lowering himself to a crouch so he could face me. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out some weird instrument, I had never seen anything like it. I looked at it with wide eyes as he tapped it, revealing a somewhat pixelated picture of..a Na'vi? He turned the object so I could see the picture and held it in front of my face. "Toruk Makto. Jake Sully," he said coldly, looking at me. My eyes widened and I could feel my ears pressing against my head.
Who was this, and why did he have a picture of my father? "Yeah," I heard him rumble. "That's it. I can see that you know who I'm talking about, yeah?" I lifted my head and tilted it slightly to peer at him. He looked back at me as if he were trying to read my expression. "Do. You. Understand. What. I'm. Saying." I stared at him, not knowing what to do or say. I could of course understand him, my father was once part of the sky people, learning their language was inevitable. "Yes," I responded quietly, lowering my head to stare at my feet instead of him. There was a brief pause before he spoke again. "Good. Lift your head up, face me." I didn't move. Who did he think he was? I kept staring at my feet, ignoring his request. "Alright," he said while sighing. He reached out his arm and grabbed my chin with his hand, forcing my head to turn upwards to him. He inhaled deeply and opened his mouth to speak. "My name is Miles, Miles Quaritch. I-" I brushed his hand away from me, glaring at him. "I do not care what your name is or what you want," I hissed. "Let me go, please." He stood up. "I'm afraid that's not possible. If I let you go, there was no point in bringing you back here now was there?" I looked up. "Then why did you bring me here? What do you want?" He looked down at me, his yellow eyes staring straight into mine. "I want Jake Sully."
"No!" I hissed back at him, standing myself up on the table. It had been hours since he had walked in here, and I proudly gave him nothing. Miles stood towering over me, pinching the bridge of his nose. I was testing his patience. "No?" "No." I stared at him, my tail twitching behind me. "I will tell you nothing. If you're going to kill me for it, go ahead!" I spat at him. He looked almost amused. "That would be a waste, don't you think?" I hissed, stomping my foot on the table. "You monster, I hope you burn in hell," I muttered in Na'vi. I looked up at him for a split second then looked away. "I will not talk to you anymore." I heard him scoff at my statement as he headed towards the door. "Then just ride along."
