When the movie was over, they slowly began to stand up and stretch. Aurora's eyes were hooded and she felt the exhaustion catching up to her, but she tried to blink herself awake. She couldn't let herself fall asleep, not out here in the open.
Bucky was observing Aurora with worry etched onto his face. He knew that she was sleep deprived, but also that she wasn't going to do anything about it, and it bothered him.
"What're we doing for dinner?" Sam asked.
That launched yet another debate, one that Aurora just sat back and watched in silence. She noticed that Bucky was doing the same. He didn't seem to talk much.
Olivia was on the carpet, playing with one of Tony's toy robots and ignoring the bickering adults. Aurora was proud of her, she went from having no social connections, to an overload, and she was coping with it all pretty well.
There was a ding as the elevator stopped at the floor. Aurora noticed, and her eyes went over to the doors as they opened to reveal an annoyed looking man with an eyepatch.
"What the hell is going on here?" Fury demanded.
Aurora felt a sudden need to protect Olivia, and stood to shield her daughter with her body. Unfortunately, that only drew Fury's attention to her. He side stepped to see Olivia on the carpet.
"Why is the mini HYDRA agent just sitting in the middle of the living room, and why is there now a young adult HYDRA agent with her?!" Fury asked.
"They're not with HYDRA." Steve spoke up, protectively.
"And you know this how? Did you run backup checks?"
Tony paused.
"Well, I was going to, but we only started the questioning this morning, and then things happened, and now... I forgot?"
Fury looked angry now.
"Do you take the security of this planet as a joke?! These suspects should've been locked in the cells last night, but let me guess- you gave them rooms and the spa treatment?!"
"Just one room, actually." Tony replied.
"Stark, so help me God. You run the backup checks and don't let them out of your sight until you know who the hell they are!"
Olivia had gotten scared from his booming voice, and was clutching onto her mom's leg, hiding behind her. Aurora was trying her best to remain calm, for the sake of her daughter, but she was feeling quite upset with the loud and demanding man who just barged his way into the room.
Bucky, without realizing it, had stood up defensively too. He didn't speak, but was prepared to defend the new guests if it came to that. He would not have them scared and traumatized even more than they'd already been, just because Fury got mad.
Fury, luckily took his leave, going back to the elevator, and sliding out. A collective sigh was omitted from the majority of the group.
"You guys discuss dinner, I'll get on that background check so Fury isn't on our asses. Don't let Vision cook again! Just order takeout! I'd rather not die of food poisoning." Tony said, leaving the room.
Steve sighed at Tony's language in front of Olivia, but didn't say anything as he was already gone. Steve hadn't gotten much information from Aurora, but he did get her full name and date of birth, which Tony knew was enough to find out about her though SHIELD's files.
Olivia tugged at her mom's arm, bringing Aurora's attention to her.
"Yes, sweetie?" She asked.
"Is the scary man gonna lock us up?" Olivia asked, crying.
