"I don't get why you insisted that we all go together," Cheryl mumbled from the backseat of the car. Toni clenched her jaw and settled on ignoring the smaller girl, who had been complaining the entire ride there.

It'd been a week since Toni found Cheryl in her bunk. A week since they'd had a normal conversation. The tension between them was painstakingly obvious, but no one would dare mention it.

Toni had apologized to Fangs about the other night. She was thankful he bought her excuse about being extremely stressed. She wasn't sure what she felt for him, but he was sure a nice distraction.

All five cheer mates were headed to a party Fangs had invited Toni to. She figured it'd be nice to go out and do something for once. Somehow, Josie had been able to drag Cheryl along with them.

Toni wasn't thrilled. Granted, she liked to keep an eye on Cheryl. But because of that, she wouldn't be able to relax at all that night.

"Or just ignore me, that works too," Cheryl muttered, pulling her knees up to her chest and gazing longingly out the window. The last thing the smaller girl wanted to be doing was going to this party. Especially if it meant seeing Toni with Fangs. She never realized how painfully jealous she could get.

"You'll be fine," Toni said coldly, keeping her eyes focused on the road. Veronica pulled into the driveway, double checking the address Fangs had given them before parking the car. Toni heard Cheryl scoff behind her, but chose to ignore it.

But, she did sneak a glance in the rearview mirror, watching as Cheryl heard the loud music blaring from the house and bit her lip nervously. Cheryl took a deep breath, sliding out of the car and smoothing out her shirt. If she was here, she might as well take advantage of it.

"Hey, T!" Fangs waved the brown eyed girl over once she exited the car. She smiled nervously, glancing back at Cheryl before jogging over to her boyfriend.

"You've met my friends, right? This is Sweets and Kevin," Fangs pulled Toni into his side and motioned to the two boys with him. He leaned over and whispered something in one of their ears, and they both nodded understandingly. Toni grew confused.

The boys returned moments later, handing Toni a red solo cup with some foul smelling liquid. She raised an eyebrow at Fangs.

"Just making sure you get a good drink," he explained. Toni nodded softly, shaking her cup slightly and watching the liquid move. She wasn't sure if she wanted to drink that night or not.

Just as she was about to take a sip out of her cup, she caught sight of Cheryl down the hallway. The smaller girl was practically chugging down whatever was inside her cup. Cheryl never drank. Crinkling her nose, Toni decided drinking wouldn't be the best idea.

"I'm okay for now," she said quietly, handing the cup back to Fangs. He shrugged and set it down, leading her down the hallway. She watched as Cheryl disappeared from her view, biting her lip nervously.

An hour passed of meaningless conversation. Fangs toted Toni around, introducing her to all of his friends. She couldn't remember any of their names, though, she was too busy trying to keep an eye on Cheryl. It was as if every time she caught sight of the younger girl, Cheryl had a new drink in her hand. She only prayed that one of her other cheer mates would try and get her to stop. She knew if she got involved, it would only make things worse.

"Have you found her yet?" Fangs asked the group of guys they were currently talking to. Toni tilted her head to the side in confusion.

"Nah. It takes a while to kick in. We're keeping an eye out, though," Sweet responded, scanning the room. Toni was growing more and more confused by the second.
