Authors summary:
[2022 WATTYS SHORTLISTED!] [EDITORS' CHOICE FOR JANUARY 2023] Isaac works at the Moonlight Café, a haven for artists, writers, and musicians. When he was hired, he was sure it would only be a temporary gig until his career as a poet took off. But ten years later, Isaac is managing the café and hasn't written a decent word in months. Maybe he never has.

After seeing a Valentine's Day special in the paper,
Isaac buys six couples' therapy sessions in a last ditch attempt to save his relationship with his boyfriend. He doesn't want to be a failure in love as well as in his writing ambitions. When Isaac's boyfriend breaks up with him instead and moves out, Isaac is stuck with six couples' therapy sessions he can't use.

Luckily, August--a musician, actor, and regular
customer at the Moonlight Café--overhears Isaac
complaining to his coworker and offers to pretend to be his boyfriend so Isaac can still get something out of the sessions. He's an actor, so it'll be a purely
professional exercise. But over the course of the six
sessions, Isaac and August become more entwined in each other's lives, and it doesn't take long before it's not just an acting exercise. Is it true love, or a disaster in the making?

My review:
Criminally underrated. Not kidding. This isn't like anything I have red before. The story is so unique. The charecters are on of a kind. And even though it is an enemies to lovers story it's not really that chlichee. Also I feel like the charecters are people you can actually relate to and it has a very real feel to it which is a nice change.
