The tower has been quiet for the past 3 months. No crime, no aliens, no multi-verse. Absolutely nothing. Everyone went to their own lives. You stayed behind to keep the tower in check. Every week, one avenger comes and stays to check on you and Loki.
Loki: I'm going to make some tea, would you like some my darling?
You: Yes, add some lemon and honey?
Loki: Yes my pet.
Loki bends down and kisses your growing stomach and reaches up and kisses you as well.
Steve: Hey guys!
You: Steve! Your turn to check on us? (You laugh)
Loki: Hello Steve, would you like some tea?
Steve: Yeah, that'd be great!
Steve heads over to the couch and sits next to you.
Steve: How's the munchkin doing? (Rubbing your belly)
You: She's good. I haven't felt her love today but she's fine.
Steve: A girl? Loki is going to get a princess.
You: (you chuckle) He keeps telling me that I'm going to bare him a son, but I think it's a girl.
Loki: Of course I'm having a son. He will be the price of mischief!!
You: Loki!
Loki: One can only dream my dear. We are out of lemon and honey!
Steve: Want me to go to the store?
Loki: No, no I think it time for me to learn how to "make runs" to the store! Will you stay with her Steve and protect her and the wee one?
Steve: Yeah it'll be good to catch up some!
Loki leaves the tower and heads to the store.
Steve: So how you doing really?
You: I'm good Steve. Loki has been amazing, the baby it growing and is healthy. I'm ok.
Steve: That's great. Can I ask you something.
You: anything! You've become one of my dearest friends!
Steve: The baby......Do you know who she belongs too?
You: Honestly Steve I don't. I don't know the exact time I got pregnant or who I was with the night it happened. As far as I'm concerned, this baby is Loki's. He is the one I truly love.
Steve: I know. But was it worth losing your best friend over this?
You: How is he Steve?
Steve: Still hurting. He went back to Wakanda. He needed to find peace and that was the last place he had it, so. We talked a lot about you.
You: Hurting? (Getting upset) He was the one that chose to leave. He was the one that said he would be here for me and the baby no matter what. He was the one that said he just wanted to be friends again. He ran away from me and the baby.
Steve: What else was he supposed to do? He saw you with Loki in his hospital room! He knew you loved Loki from the beginning. He had to run, you left him no choice! He gave his heart to you. He has never had that kind of love before. You were his first and I think his last. He doesn't want anyone else. You broke him!
You: I'm sorry Steve. But that's how it has to be, hurt or not.
Steve: Yeah. I know. It's for the best. When he's ready he'll come around.
You: OUCH....
Steve. (Becomes very concerned) What's wrong, you alright
You: Yes, she just kicked. It hurt a little that's all.
Steve bends down to his knees.
Steve: May I?
You: ( nod your head yes) Of course!
Steve places his head on your stomach and feels the baby move. His eyes become misty and he hugs your stomach.
Loki: Amazing isn't it. That a small life is being created.
Steve: (wipes his face) Yeah it is. I'm happy for the both of you. So, big man. When are you going to make an honest woman of her?
Loki: Whenever she'll have me. (big smile) I am going to finish you tea!
You: Thank you my love.
Steve looks at you with hurt in his eyes. You gesture to him to sit down.
Steve: (He speaks in a lower tone) As much as Bucky wanted this, he knows she belongs to Loki. Look at him. Look how much he loves you. I'm not going to take that away from him. I won't break his heart the way you did Bucky's.
You look at Steve in astonishment.
You cannot believe he just said that.
Loki: Here you are my dear, your lemon and honey tea. Steve, here you go.
You: Thank you my love.
Steve: Thanks buddy, but I think I'm gonna get going.
You: Thanks for coming by Steve.
Steve: Anytime thanks for the tea Loki.
Loki: You're most welcome my friend. Thank you for taking care of her and for being her friend.
Steve gives Loki a halfhearted smile and takes his leave.
Later that night: Loki lies asleep next to you. You are wide awake thinking about the conversation you and Steve had when suddenly...
You: Oh God, ouch!!! (Talking to your stomach) get off the bladder little one.
You get up to go the bathroom.
You: LOKI!!!!! LLLOOOKKIIIII!!!
You scare Loki wide awake and he runs to you.
Loki: What's wrong?
You: I'm bleeding, badly. It won't stop and the pain onhhhh (You begin screaming in agony) Oh God don't do this....OH GOD THE BABY.
