Getting along

Loki sits at your left and Bucky sits on your right.

Loki: James? I need to ask you a something.

Bucky: Yeah, what is it?

Loki: How long was it, while I was gone, that she ran to you?

Bucky: You mean the first time we made.....

Loki: (cutting off Bucky) Yes?!

Bucky: The night of the party. When she found you with the other woman.

Loki: Was that the first time?

Bucky: Yes it was....well no. Technically our first time was at Tony's party on the balcony, but that was forever ago.

Loki: Why didn't she stay with you then?

Bucky: She saw something she wanted more.

Loki: What was that?

Bucky: You! The next day was when you came to the tower. He eyes lit up and she introduced herself and that was it. She was gone. (Becoming forceful) I lost her then Loki, I won't lose her again. Not now, not ever.

Loki: But you have lost her. She may be your best friend, but I am her only love.

You start to get restless and being moving around.

Loki: (puts his finger to his lips)

Shhhhh, (whispers) no more talking.

Bucky: Agreed. For her and the baby's safety.

Loki places his hand on your stomach. Then Bucky follows. They both stare at you with tear filled eyes and worry. 2 days have gone by, and you haven't awoken.

Loki: Dr. It has been two days. Is she alright, I haven't seen her beautiful eyes look into mine. Is there anything you can do to wake her?

Bucky: Doc is this normal?

Dr.: Yes. For everything she has been through it's understandable why she's been resting. Don't worry, she will wake soon. I have the results of the DNA test. Would you both like to hear it or do you want to wait until she regains consciousness?

Loki: I think.....James?

Bucky: I'm sorry Loki, I need to know.

Loki: Alright, Dr.?

Dr.: Please come sit down, we will go over all of this. Ok so we took both of your DNA, & we took the babies DNA. Are y'all ready for the results? It may not be what either one of you wanna hear.

Loki and Bucky look confused.

Loki: What are you saying Dr.

Dr.: Well the results are.....

Loki: No, this can't be possible! How is this possible?

Bucky: I.....I can't believe this.

Dr.: I'm sorry gentlemen, this is the result. I think we need to tell her what's going on. But only after we give her a chance to completely heal. You need to keep this under your hats, so to speak. Do you understand? Any sign of distress may cause the babies to suffer.

Loki: Yes Dr. We understand.

Dr.: Well, I assume you gentlemen would like to discuss this alone. May I recommend that you have a seat in the private waiting room and discuss this.

Bucky: Yeah thanks Doc.

Loki and Bucky follow the doctor to the waiting room.

Bucky takes a seat and sighs loudly and Loki remains standing looking out the window.

Bucky: So, should I start or do you wanna go first?

Loki: Say your peace.

Bucky: Two? We're having two?! I can't believe it man! How did this happen?

Loki: Yes, indeed we are. The Dr. explained it. I can't believe it myself. Looks like you're going to be a father James. And it looks like I'm going to be as well. How is she going to take this?

Bucky: I don't know Loki. But we need to tell her. We need to let the doctor explain everything.

Loki: You're absolutely right.

Nurse: Excuse me gentlemen, but she's awake and asking for you both.

Loki: Thank you. Shall we go see her?

Bucky: Yeah......Hey, listen I know neither one of us expected this, but I think it's gonna be great. We will make this work.

Loki: For her sake, I think we better put all of our differences aside. If not for her then for the children.

Loki and Bucky head in to see you. You smile so big when you see both walk in together.

You: Hi guys.

Loki: Hello my love. How do you feel?

Bucky: Hey you. (Kisses your hand)

You: I'm starving!! So I must be feeling great obviously!

Bucky: You want me to get you something from the cafeteria or call in something?

You: James that's so sweet but the nurse is bringing something in. Thank you though. (Deep sigh) so the Dr. said you both needed to talk to me. Has she talked to y'all?

Loki nods.

You: What did she say?

Loki: I think....WE thinks it's best we wait until your fully recovered my love. The Dr. said it was best.

You: I'm fine. Tell me? Is the baby alright? Nothing's wrong right. I mean, is it bad news....I.....

Bucky: Hey, hey, hey, calm down honey. It's not bad news, it's just not what we expected.

You: Wait a minute! Y'all are getting along. Something is soooo wrong here. Who's going to tell me.

Loki: Why don't we call the doctor in and have her explain it.
