LET'S GET THIS STRAIGHT...
...emily doesn't have that whole thing with ian doyle, in fact he is not canon in my story period. she still traveled a lot as a kid and stuff, just not...you know...yeah
...the beginning of part two will begin canonically on april 13, 2013. if we line this date up with the canon date of the series, we'd be in like season 8, so emily would be gone. however in my head this story lines most up with any season between 3 and 5, but it would be better to abolish this canon-acy of time in the series and separate it from this story. with that being said...
...the only members of the team in this story include spencer, hotch, garcia, rossi, prentiss, morgan and jj. gideon and elle may be brought up, but any character that is introduced later on (alex blake, tara lewis, etc) will not be canonically introduced! the team mentioned previously will be the only team canon in my story.
...if i exclude any key information that is told in the series, there is probably a reason i did or it just wasn't important enough for me to include. i really think that for the sake of the story, we should try to separate the canon lore of the series and the canon lore of my story. it's still the same characters with the same personality with the same baseline (all really cool bau agents doing their thang), except the focus on lore changes from the specific cases to the actual characters

...if a date is displayed in the title of the chapter but the chapter takes places over a series of days, the date indicates the date at the start of the chapter
...the whole foyet thing doesn't happen. haley is still alive. i haven't decided if hotch and haley are still together canonically so you decide
