rewrite of "everything i wanted"
part 1 - it's time to go
that old familiar body ache
the snaps from the same little breaks
in your soul , you know
when it's time to go
part 2 - the great war
always remember
tears on the letters
i vowed not to cry...

LEAH WOKE UP in a good mood. she remembered garcia's positive presence, how they bought some ice cream from the corner store up the block and watched "ferris bueller's day off," one of leah's favorite movies.
and then she remembered the events that led to that. she remembered spencer coming over and leaving just as quick. suddenly, she was sad again.
although, she wasn't worried. she was going to talk to spencer today whether he wanted to or not-she had to understand what caused him to up and leave the way he did. he was usually pretty easy to read-but last night, leah was clueless. she got changed into a white, short sleeved button up and threw on a beige colored sweater vest over it. her pants we long and black, with a bit of a flare at the ends. matched with short high heels, leah grabbed her purse and left her apartment, not before adding her signature silver necklace that her parents got her when she first began high school. she was never a fan of gold.
she decided today, she would drive. it was hot, she had a long day, and although she usually walks no matter what circumstance surround the day, she hoped spencer was there a little early, leaving them time to speak.
she sat down in the driver's seat and started it up for the first time in maybe a month. she put on the radio, smiling as her song began to play. "her name is noelle..." she mumbled along. she saw it as a sign that today would be a good day.
she pulled into an open parking spot right outside the bureau and got out of her car, locking her door. she felt her phone vibrate and checked it before walking in. it was a text from hazel campbell, whom she had kept in short contact with after the funeral. her lack of sleep caused her to text him right before she got ready for work, asking if she had permission to look around his apartment for a bit. he accepted, and she would be heading their tonight right after work, and hoped spencer would tag along...that is, if things were sorted out by then.
she stuck her phone in her purse and walked towards the entrance of the bau, and recognized another person who was also making their way towards the door.
