Naila

As usual my morning routine start with me watering my plants. They make me so happy and me me feel so alive.

I wake up water my plants and eat quick meal.

I make quick french toast and take it with my coffee. What is mornings without a cup of coffee?

"Meow meow" my cat walk in.

"Burtuqal your mom is awake" I take her and pet her as much as I can. I can't believe I will he leaving her behind.

"Mommy is going to work" I said and try to put her down but she is so clingy, it's part of our morning routine.

Any cat owner knows how clingy cats are. My mate are busy getting married and having kids while I keep telling them I'm a cat mom, so it add up.

I quickly rushed and get the taxi to work. I walk immediately to my desk. I'm about to surprise them with my resignation.

"Princess" my annoying friend and only bestie whispered.

"Samira not you again" I said.

"You don't want me here? Okay I will leave" she started walking and I grabbed her hands quickly.

"I was joking, sensitive queen" I said my eyes still on the computer getting my work done.

Samira has been there for me since the first day we met. She has been my best friend and she was there for me through the journey of grieve. She means a lot to me.

"I thought you were going to send me away" she said and rolled her eyes.

"Samira" I called.

I turned around and she sat on the chair next to me. She realize how serious I looked and she got so serious.

"Did something happen again Naila?" She asked.

"No no, calm down but it's kind of serious"

"Tell me what happened then!" She said.

"I'm resigning" I said.

"Resigning Naila are you crazy?"

"You thought I was joking when I said I was resigning and moving away?" I asked.

"Nailah please" she said with a sad face.

"You're going to get me emotional. Can we talk about this after work? Mrs Süsen will cuss the hell out of us" I said.

I explained to Samira Why I need to move away. The city brings me nothing but emptiness. I tried so much to feel the void for so many years but it's not happening. Grieve sucks and what sucks more is the extreme loneliness. I lost my parents years ago in a car accident. I had only them and Samira but they left. I have been making the process of leaving for a year now and it's about to happen finally.

I sold my parents house and everything. I decided to stay with Samira for my last moment in the city.

I bought so many toys and take it to the shelter. I gave it to the kids and brought a huge smile on their faces. That is the only thing that can bring joy to me.

I visit zaitoon in the hospital for the last time.
She started smiling as soon as I arrived. I hugged her so much and gave her my phone to play games.

Zaitoon is battle colon cancer for so long. She's just eight and she is on terminal, she has less than 3 months left on earth.

I always visit the kids battling cancer and the orphanage. I try to help with the little I have.

"Naila aren't you sleepy?" Samira asked with her sleepy voice.

"Need to get some work done" I said and continue searching for the same thing!

"Hacked it!" I said and smile.

The record for epic college students of that year. I get all the information about the people that went to that school that year.

"Ahmad, Hayal, Melissa" my main target.

I searched about Ahmad and hayal and they're married. They're extremely happy together while Leyla is buried under the ground.

"Pathetic!" I moved away a little.

I scrolled and read so much about each one of them. They're all happy and living the best of their lives.

"Did Leyla truly died?" The thoughts started rushing in my head.

"What happened to Leyla? They never mentioned her, never! Did Leyla died or did they get rid of her? I will find out" I said as I twist the pen in my hands.
