chapter 14

*Naila*

Melissa rushed to my desk and pull me.
"What is going on?" I ask.
"Just follow me" she replied.

She's being so jumpy, I wondered what she is happy about again.

I followed to her office and she hugged me right after we entered. I looked at her confused waiting for an explanation.

"Can you explain what's going on?" I asked.
"Guess what?" She said.
"What?"

"I heard Ahmad and Hayal arguing" she said.

"Is this why you're happy?"
"Of course I'm. It was a very heated argument." she said excitedly

"They haven't seen anything yet" I said.

Them arguing means nothing to be honest. They will make up later but its still progress. I want to see them in pain, I want hayal on her knees begging me for mercy.

"Should we hang out after work?" She asked and I didn't say anything.

"Please don't say no"

"Of course we can" I replied with a smile.

"Thank you Naila"
"For?"
"For everything" she replied.

We went to a very fancy restaurant. The place of my dream. We ordered good food and took a lot of pictures. I was a fan of taking pictures when I was a teenager but not anymore. They say pain change a person and I agree. There is simply no light in my life, I'm full of rage, bitterness and revenge. However taking the pictures and living in the moment reminded me of the good old days and I felt quite alive.

Melissa asked me if I consider her a friend or just a colleague.

"More than colleague" I replied.

"Friends right?" She asked and I remain silent.

"Naila!?"
"Ofcourse friends" I replied.

"And friends don't betray each other" Melissa said.

"But you.." I said and then kept quiet.

"I what?"

I turn left and right then turn back my looks to her.

"Melissa don't hide anything from me okay?"

"Am I hiding something from you?".

I told her that it will be better if we discuss it at home. We finish everything and went to my house.

"Melissa what happened to Leyla?" I asked.

"I don't get it?"

"I want to know everything my twin went through" I replied.

"Nothing happened to Leyla. I don't know what you are up to but nothing happened to Leyla".

She narrated some of the thing she know and I felt like she is hiding things.

"One last question. Were hayal and Leyla close when she died?" I asked.

"No they weren't. They had a huge fall out"

"And why didn't you tell me this since?" I asked and her facial expressions changed which confirmed she is hiding something from me.

The first thing I did after she left is to figure out what happened. I brought our the the things I picked up from Leyla's house.

"Why does she even have so many pictures if Ahmad?" I wondered.

There is letter and I open it. Leyla's was obsessed with Ahmad. If she was in love with him, it means that Melissa was in love with him too and so is Hayal?
