Hyunjin:

An excited shriek escaped my lips, this is too good to be true! I turned around to smile at Yongbok with anticipation, gesturing him to follow me.

And he did, he soon stood by my side and we wanted to leave but the servant interrupted us, "I'm deeply sorry but your friend has to stay here, an order from the ambassador."

I shrugged in disbelieve, "Yongbok will come with me, no matter what the ambassador says.", and with these words I pulled the said angel along.

"Are you sure I should come with you? I can wait in your room and you'll tell me about it later.", he suggested politely. But I wanted him to come along. I needed my emotional support angel by my side.

"Please I want you to come along, I need your support.", I admitted smiling at him. He returned the smile and my heart melted at his bright, warm smile.

We quickly arrived at my fathers room and the guards opened the door, eyeing Yongbok down repeatedly. But I pulled him inside and none of the guards said a word.

That's the privilege of being the prince, not many people dare to speak up against your actions.

Inside stood father with tears of joy and disbelieve in his eyes, he held a letter in his lightly shaking right hand.

Once he noticed the two of us had stepped inside he immediately pulled me into a tight hug, crying onto my shoulder.

I haven't seen him cry this much in a long time, I used to think he had no tears left to cry since he had cried so much the days after Yeji and my stepmum had left.

Suddenly the knife sharp voice of the ambassador cut the comfortable silence the three of us stood in, "What's he doing here?", he pointed with one of his ratty fingers at the poor Yongbok.

The said angel tensed under the attention and lowered his gaze. "I wanted him to come along.", I clarified, glaring the ambassador down on his spot at the door.

"But he's not allowed to be here. This is something about your family, an outsider shouldn't get involved with it."

"What are you doing here then?", Yongbok suddenly snapped at the old man, catching everyone in this room off guard.

I was surprised that he spoke up for himself but really proud at the same time because he had a point, if this truly is only for the royal family the old man shouldn't be here either.

"I- I'm the ambassador you little brat, its my job to be here for the royals." "And I am Hyunjin's best friend, he would tell me about it anyway." Yongbok crossed his arms in front of his chest and stood his ground.

But the ambassador only grew angrier, "That's the problem, you two grew way too close anyway. You shouldn't get involved with the prince this much, he doesn't need you. And you shouldn't talk about him like that, address him with prince you low creature."

I was taken aback, what the actual fuck is this old crappy rat saying?! And as I wanted to speak up and deny every word this rat had just said Yongbok interrupted me:

"Oh please, stop with those lies. Why do you dislike me this much? I've did nothing wrong. You simply have something against our friendship. Why? Because we're both boys and I distract Hyunjin from focusing on girls, right?

But what if I tell you that I am actually helping him find a girlfriend?", Yongbok straight up lied into the old man's face and I was proud. He doesn't deserve the truth, at least not yet. He will know about it at our wedding.

The ambassador was taken by surprise by that statement. Seeming to believe it. But he wouldn't stop, "That's right you're distracting him way too much, you two shouldn't have become friends at a-"

"That's enough!", my fathers clear voice cut the ambassador's sentence, his face was calm yet stern, "If my son asks for Yongbok's presence I wont say something against it. I trust my son and I trust Yongbok.

He's a well mannered young man and I understand why Hyunjin chose him as his friend. So could we please now focus on the actual reason we're here?"

Yongbok nodded and placed himself besides me while my father sat down at his desk. The ambassador stood to my other side with a small gap, avoiding eye contact.

He was obviously ashamed of his sudden outburst but not regretting it.

"I still cant believe it.", my father spoke up, immediately gaining our all attention, the second letter lightly shook in his hands as he handed it me.

I read the few words on the letter and my whole world lightened up:

Your daughter Yeji is alive, we have her at our side as we speak and would like to give her back. We've found her confused and lost in the woods. Please come pick her up at the sun village. Sincerely, with incredible good news, the sun villagers and Yeji.

"It sounds too good to be true.", Yongbok stated while he read the letter over my shoulder. I felt his warm skin against mine, receiving comfort in it.

"I hate to admit it but the boy's correct my king, it could be a trap.", the ambassador spoke up with disgust in his voice.

"I'm well aware about that.", my father sighed, "But we have to at least give it a chance.... I'll ride to the sun village tomorrow and look around. If I get negative vibes from it I'll leave.

But I sincerely hope for it to be true, first of all I want my daughter back and second of all I trust my people, they wouldn't fool their own king.", he stated, straightening his posture.

"No my king, please send some guards or even me. We cant risk it to be a trap and you ending in it."

"Stop this nonsense, I'll go there, these are my last words you all gave me a headache anyway so please leave now. I'll leave tomorrow at dawn."

"Please my king, let me at least travel with you.", the ambassador begged my father. I saw the wheels turning in his head before he nodded in defeat, "Fine, gather some guards as well."

The old man happily nodded and bowed deeply, hurrying towards the door and exiting it with a deep bow.

Yongbok and I both turned around as well, my heart swelled in happiness and I saw the warm smile on his soft, freckled cheeks.

"Wait.", my father suddenly ordered. We both did as we were told and turned around.
