404 doesn't really like people.

==Chapter Start==

404 was by himself for a change. Mordred was apparently too sore from constant training with him, and because of Gudako and Gudao, he was forced to let her rest. He could always heal her arms, which Mordred asked for, but he needed her to engrain the memory of pain in order to remember that she cannot just ask for an easy path.

After all, doing that was something weak people do.

So he was by himself, eating a small plate of cookies with a mug of cold milk next to him. It was nothing but satisfying. Being by himself, being able to do so much research because of the lack of his blonde pupil. Yes, this was good.

Artoria: "Hello Error 404."

And like that, his mood went slightly sour at the thought of having to interact with others. He sighed internally, looking forward to see the King of England from way back when. She somehow had a regal look to her despite carrying a plate with several burgers stacked in a pyramid.

Yup, Mordred was definitely her daughter. Both were as gluttonous as gluttons could get.

404: "How may I help you?"

Artoria: "Is it fine if I sit here to eat?"

404: "Why?"

Artoria: "I wanted to give my thanks for taking care of Mordred as well as you have so far."

404: 'If she's anything like her spawn, I should just let things happen for the sake of my sanity.' "I see. If that is what you want, I find no reason to not let you."

Artoria smiled and sat down next to him.

Artoria: "You've been training my daughter."

404: "Stubborn and hot-headed. But she is determined to do her best. She has made great improvements."

Artoria: "As I've heard. I want to thank you."

404: "You've said that before."

Artoria: "Yes, but I want to thank you for being there for her. Her mother is...not good to say the least. And because of that, I pushed away my child when everything she wanted was for me to recognize her."

Something about that made his anger start to boil. It reminded him of how he and Adam were treated by their whore of a mother. He clenched his coat, hoping Artoria wouldn't notice as to not cause any problems.

Artoria "I regret it. I couldn't live with that, and in the end, I let down my country and my people who looked to me as a hero. But most importantly, I failed to be the father she deserved."

She looked down a little before giving a small smile.

Artoria: "But she looks happy when she's with you. Most people she tries to hang out with are bothered by her brash behavior, but you're patient with her and I can tell that she appreciates that. She looks forward to you training her because you take her seriously. And I can tell that she looks up to you. She thinks you're amazing in every aspect, even if you can be cold at times. She brags about you to everyone. It's...amusing how much she likes being with you. It's almost as if you were a father to her."
