- Chapter 17: What is it, dad? -

- Emmeline's Pov -

Something definitely isn't right. Dad didn't come back yesterday, and i'm extremely worried now because why would it take him a whole day to talk with the minister. Draco, Mum, and Narcissa have tried their best to keep my calm, but nothing they seemed to do would work. So here i am, sitting outside on the doorstep reading a book while everyone else is sitting in the living room looking worried. I want dad to walk out of that fireplace with a smile on his face while he tells me that everything has been sorted and i don't have to go to the trial today. I still can't believe what was written in that letter because why on earth would the minister write something like that? It's not like him at all since the minister wouldn't force someone to be at a trial that doesn't involve them. The letter said, 'Miss Weasley must attend Mr Potters trial and fail to do so will result in auras being sent to you and will escort you to the trial'. That is why the letter gave us an off feeling because since when did the ministry think it was okay to force people to attend a trial that doesn't involve them. Especially now im pregnant, which the ministry would know about thanks to the charm Narcissa performed. That charm would have notified the hospital of my pregnancy in case something goes wrong. The minister would have been notified as well due to my medical records being altered by magic to show my pregnancy.

I just want all this Harry drama to end, so Draco and i can enjoy this pregnancy together with our families. Then we can bring our baby into the world without any worries of Harry hurting our baby to hurt us. He has done enough to me, and it needs to end now, so if the minister wants me at her trail, then i will be there just to watch his ass being dragged away. I will not leave Draco's side the whole time because one, he will literally have me squished against him or two he will have his arm permanently around my waist. Suddenly, i'm brought out my thoughts when someone's hand was on my shoulder, causing me to jump with a squeal. I looked over my shoulder only to see dad stood there with a sad smile on his face, and within seconds, my book was on the ground, and im hugging the life out of him. Then it hits me he was gone all night. Is he hurt? I put my hands on his shoulders and push him away, keeping my hands where they are and looking him over, making sure he isn't hurt or has any serious injuries. I let out a sigh of relief when i don't see any injuries or bruises, and i drop my hands to my sides while shaking my head at him because does he know how worried me and mum have been!.

"Princess, i know you're angry at me because i was gone all night, but i had to find out why it's so important for you to be at the trial tomorrow. Harry has told everyone that you're his wife, and i had to convince the minister otherwise, which is why i have been gone so long." He said softly, yet i can see the anger in his eyes

"H-He did what!" I said with wide eyes

"And the minister believed him?" Draco asked, standing behind dad

"No, he didn't, but he had to make sure Harry was lying, which explains the odd letter he sent here. He wanted one of us to go there to get the truth of the matter without alerting Harry to what was happening." Dad said, looking over his shoulder at Draco

"Do i still need to go to the trial? The minister has got the truth, so i don't see why he would need me there now." I said thoughtfully

"He still wants you there in case Harry tries to tell everyone you're his wife again. It's basically so everyone can see the proof right in front of their eyes. He doesn't want you involved in the trial he just wants you there so everyone can see you with Draco." Dad said softly, looking at me worriedly

"So i've literally got no choice in the matter." I said with tears in my eyes

"I'm sorry, sweetheart, but no, you have no choice." He said sadly

"I don't want to. What if he tries to hurt our baby Draco." I said as a tear rolled down my cheek

"I won't let him, my love. I won't let him." Draco said, looking at me worriedly

"I know, but all of us will be beside you every step of the way. He will not get a chance to hurt you or your baby." Mum said softly

"The minister will just have to make room for all of us because there is no way im letting my new daughter go in there alone." Narcissa said sternly, and more tears rolled down my face hearing her call me her daughter

"It won't just be you four going with her. We are going too." I hear Charlie voices, making me look over at the fireplace

"We will be coming too! I will not let Harry anywhere near my big sister." Ginny said, crossing her arms

"What Ginny said." Ron said, pointing at Ginny

"There is something else, and i don't know him to tell you this." Dad said, looking at me and Draco

"What is it, dad?" I asked, wiping my face

"The minister told me that snape isn't dead. someone had used a polyjuice potion on a student and killed said student just before they were found. Snape is a missing person, and the ministry has a lead on his whereabouts. That's also why the minister wants you there, Emmeline." Dad said, looking at me and Draco worriedly

"WHAT!!!" I yelled as more tears rolled down my face

"He's alive? My godfather is alive. Mother, did you hear that? He's alive!" Draco said in shock
