My Lost Light

Chapter 5: Shopping

We went into the shopping district, specifically a gun store.

"Wow! These all look so cool!" Sashida exclaims.

"I'm not sure which one to get." Kenji states partially talking to himself.

"Get this one! It looks cool!" Sashida suggests. We just kind of ignore them though.

'Eri, which is the best gun?'

'E.R.I Response; Beretta 92.'

I look around for it. Found it.

"How about this one?" I suggest. Kenji comes over.

"A Beretta?" He asks quietly. He picks up the gun and looks at it.

"I'm not a gun expert but I was told this was a good one." I commented because I couldn't really tell if he liked it or not. It looks kind of boring though.

"This gun is mainly used for defense. It's a nice model. Why not?" Kenji decides. I felt somewhat relieved that it was a good model for him. He pays and we leave. I start to walk away.

"Senshi where are you going?" Sashida asks.

"I'm going to train." I respond.

"Ooo! I wanna come!" Sashida exclaims excitedly.

"Suit yourself." I say nonchalantly.

"I'll be looking around." Kenji states.

"I'll be with Kenji." Kokoro adds.

"Let's meet back up in about an hour." I suggest.

"Right." Kenji responded.

Sashida and I begin to walk towards a little area in the woods I could use for training. Sashida had sat down in the grass, and I took out my swords and began to just do whatever with them.

"You're good." Sashida comments.

"Did you finish your job?" I ask.

"Yeah, but I've already got another one." Sashida responds. I look back at them and make a comment,

"They have you work back-to-back, huh?"

"Yeah, did you like working at the agency?" Sashida questions.

I wasn't quite sure how to answer so I just responded with,

"I'm not sure."

"Did you work alone?" Sashida continued with the questions.

I paused for a moment before answering.

"I did at first." I answer.

"Why'd they get rid of you?" Sashida asked. Why is everyone so curious about the agency? I didn't get it.

"I failed a mission." I kept the answer short and to the point.

"One wrong move and you're gone or even dead. Kind of like mine." Sashida somewhat said to themself.

"Can you start working on the earring?" Sashida asks getting off the topic of the agency.

"Sure." I replied. I sat down next to Sashida and pulled out a few supplies. I began working as Sashida took notes for whatever reason.

"This town is amazing!" Kokoro exclaimed. She really is full of energy.

"It is." I agree with her.

"You look like you want to ask something. Spit it." Kokoro demanded. I paused for a moment.
