Chapter 7: Ambush

I then realized it.

"We're surrounded." I announce.

"What?" Kenji asks surprised.

"Yeah, draw your weapons." I order.

"I'll take half of them." I comment.

"There's no way you can take half of them." Kenji voices his concerns.

"Trust me." I tell me Kenji.

"Fine." He follows.

I went around behind some trees and started taking them out one-by-one. I looked at Kenji, Kokoro, and Sashida to see how they were doing. They were doing fine. I took out the last of the ones in the back. When I got back to them, they were done.

"You guys okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, you" Kokoro responds.

"Yeah, let's get out of here." I recommend.

We walked for a bit until Kenji asked,

"Do you know where you're going?" He sounded like he was doubting me.

"Of course, I do. I wouldn't walk around without a general idea of where to go." I respond.

"How far away is it?" Sashida asks.

"It'll take us a few days." I reply.

"EH? I can't walk around that much!" Kokoro pouts.

"We're stuck on foot. We have no other way of transportation, and we can't go through town." I tell her.

"This is torture." Kokoro whines.

"Well, deal with it. We don't have any choice." I tell her.

We walked a little longer.

"I can go into town to get some supplies as they haven't really noticed me. I look normal too." Sashida suggests.

"Fine, be careful. I'll keep your location tracked. Be quick." I say.

"Right." Sashida replies and goes on their way.

"Why couldn't I go?" Kokoro is once again whining.

"If you didn't cause a scene with that newbie maybe you could have. If they're stuck on us, we can't be in public." I tell her.

We sat there for a bit as we waited for Sashida. Upon Sashida's return Kokoro says,

"You sure took your sweet time." She sounded annoyed.

"It was a lot to carry." Sashida says a bit out of breath.

I put the things in a bag, and we continued.
