Y/N watched Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston run down the street, carrying their proton packs and chasing a ghost. She stepped outside the Ghostbusters HQ to see a workman put the new Ghostbusters II sign up. The city was buzzing with energy, phantom energy, and people were cheering as the Ecto-1A drove off.
Louis would help out at the facility with clients while Janine would take the phone, "We accept certified checks, cash, or money order!" He would tell them. And when the boys return, Y/N would be sitting on the couch, waiting for them.
Egon's POV:
It was night, the Ecto-1A turning a sharp corner to the next ghost sighting. I knew that Y/N would be up, waiting for us to return. For unscientific reasons, I could not get her out of my head. And when I was around her, it seemed hard to thoroughly talk to her without drawing a blank. Ever since she and her friend arrived from their dimension, the dreams have stopped. One month after the Ghostbusters returned, we've been busier.
The next day, we come out of a store with Santa hats on, carrying a smoking trap. Returning to the Facility, I glance up to see Y/N standing next to Janine with a coffee mug. They both glance at us, and Y/N smiles, "How'd it go?" Peter shrugs, "It went well. Ho ho ho!" I shook my head and made my down to clean the trap.
"Where ya goin' Spengler?"
I turn my head to see Y/N on the steps, staring down at me with a cheery smile. I returned the grin, "Just cleaning the trap. I'll be up in a moment." She nods, "Okay. There's hot cocoa for you guys. I'll leave yours on the table." My smile slowly drops as she disappears around the corner to the kitchen. It didn't seem possible to like her. She is from another dimension, and the Ghostbusters don't exist in her world, which led me to question. Does she exist in ours?
After cleaning the trap, I walked back up the stairs to see a hot mug on the kitchen counter. I took it and walked into the main room, where everyone sat, drinking their mugs. Y/F/N and Y/N are laughing about a joke Ray had recently made. I sat down, keeping a serious face. "Hey, Spengs, lighten up, will ya?" Peter asks, referring to the many calls we had for the past week. I sighed, "Peter, the chances of me lightening up would be slim-"
"Egon?"
I turn my head to see Y/N staring at me with wide eyes, "Take a break, will you? You boys had a long day." She softly asked. Ray and Winston nodded, "Yeah, Egon. We know you want to figure out how these girls crossed dimensions and figure out the river of slime. But this might be your only time to relax." Winston points out. I stared back at Y/N, caught in her e/c eyes. She quickly turned her head away, a red tint forming on her cheeks. Peter kicks my leg, and I glared at him. He gives me a strange smile and wiggles his eyebrows. I ignored him and felt my face heat up.
The next day, Ray and I scooped some slime up off the stairs to the library and packaged it up for analysis. Then we went to Central Park to see a ghost jogger running by. Peter traps him as he runs. "Bye-bye!" Three hours later, back at the firehouse, Y/N came sprinting up to us excitingly, "I have an idea to help your guys' ads!"
No POV:
The TV ad in Hardemeyer's office plays on screen, revealing a Ghost swinging by. Janine and Louis took part in the ad.
*Ahh!*
*What is it, honey?*
*It's that darn ghost again! He just won't leave us alone! I guess we're just going to have to move!* Janine spoke.
Louis picks up the phone, *No, wait! Don't worry! We're not moving; he is!*
*Who are you going to call?* The Ghostbusters appear.
*Ghostbusters!* They chant.
Hardemeyer, watching the ad, groans and plops his head against the table. Back in Ghostbusters HQ, The Ghostbusters slide down the pole to their next call. Thanks to Y/N's idea, the new ad spiked more calls.
Ray is driving the Ecto-1A way too quickly. He is shouting something about a ghost sighting. Peter and Egon both look at each other, worried in the back of the vehicle. Outside Orrefors, The Ghostbusters run in, trap another ghost and return home covered in slime.
A setup of many traps firing beams malfunctions and brings a lot of fine crystal coming down to the ground in a store with a loud crash.
Back in Ghostbusters HQ, Slimer is eating something in Louis's lunch box very messily. "Janine, lunch! Boy, it smells like somebody took a big-" Louis sees Slimer, and they both scream and run away. Y/N was watching from the kitchen in slight amusement with Y/F/N, trying to not giggle.
At a phone booth, Ray and Egon scoop up some slime. Hopped in Ecto-1A, and drives along.
Dana is watching TV, and feeding Oscar. The Ghostbusters were on the screen. *...with our special half-price service plan.* Winston smiles.
*What! Hold on- half-price? Have we all gone mad?* Peter waves his hand and steps forward.
*I guess so, Pete because that's not all. Tell them, Egon!* Ray turns to Egon.
Egon holds a container, *Oh, you mean the Ghostbusters hot beverage thermal mug and free balloons for the kids?* Caption: "LIMIT ONE PER FAMILY" Dana laughs as she continues feeding the baby.
Y/N was also watching the TV, laughing. When the boys came back from making the commercial, a crowd has formed around them outside. Y/N sprinted out to see them chattering. Egon notices her standing with a smile on her face. He leans against the Ecto-1A, watching her with a slight grin. Y/N turns her head to see him staring at her, and her cheeks heat up. "Hi, Spengler!" Egon's grin widens and he gives a short wave, "Hey, Y/N."
