Ghostbusters Egon Spengler x Reader

A Parent

The Queen Class 5 blocks the Ghostbusters from going into the Ecto-1A vehicle. Peter frowns, "Hey, Laura Parr; you do know we have to go, right?"

"Yeah, we stopped Vigo. Why are you preventing us from leaving?" Winston asks, gesturing to her. The Queen gazes at Spengler. The question is in both red and e/c eyes. 'Do you truly accept it?'

Egon nods his head, "You fulfilled your unfinished business. Leave her body." The three Ghostbusters nodded, remembering that she had something to finish. Laura Parr shakes her head in understanding. Then, carefully, she floated down before them and pulled away from Y/N. The h/c shoulder-length-haired girl returns to them and opens her e/c eyes. Peter and Ray blinked, "Uh..." Winston's eyes bulged out of their sockets.

Laura Parr nods her head and disappears. Moving swiftly, Spengler picked up Y/N and opened the door, "We have to hurry." Y/N gasps in pain. The Ghostbusters jumped in the Ecto-1A and sped down to the hospital just as the bell chimed.

The nurses and doctors wheeled Y/N into the delivery room, "Ahhh!" She yelped, gripping her abdomen. The Ghostbusters, cleared of their packs, followed closely behind the medics. Dana had handed Oscar to Louis back at the museum and is next to Y/N, holding her hand. "Breathe, Y/N. Breathe." Dana felt the young woman's grip tighten.

"Who's the father?!" A doctor shouts out over Y/N's screams. Spengler pushes his way over to the medic, "I am." The doctor nods and motions for Spengler to enter the delivery room. The others waited outside the door, hearing the lamentable utterances.

"What just happened?" Peter mutters. Ray shook his head, "Laura Parr moved through Iggy, then inside Y/N. She did something."

Winston was pacing the floor, "Yeah, but what? I get she went through Egon... then entered Y/N, possessing the poor girl. What did Laura do?" Before Ray could enunciate anything, Spengler departs the room to update them on the news.

"She's gonna be fine, now. The medic told me she's stable."

"What happened? How did she end up pregnant?" Ray blurts out quickly.

"And that quick too?" Winston adds.

"You told the doctor that you were the father-" Ray uttered before Peter steps between them, waving his hands, "Whoa! Whoa! Take it easy. Surely there's a good explanation for this."

"You're right, Peter." Egon sighs, making Venkman face him, "I am? I mean, of course, I am."

"When we came across Laura Parr that night, she seized something from me, before possessing Y/N." Spengler began. "What did she take?" Winston queries.

"An embryo, and delivered it to Y/N. Making sure that her body obtained it."

"So, you are a father..." Ray gasps.

Egon stares at Ray for a long moment, "Yes."

CLICK.

The door opens and a nurse pops her head through the door, "She's calling for you, Dr. Spengler."

"Thank you." Egon turns to the boys, "I'll be right back." He reenters the room to see Y/N panting. Sweat covered her forehead and her hair was pulled back by a short plait. A blanket covered her legs and a hospital gown was on her. Spengler went up to her and took her hand. Dana had quietly left the room and met the boys in the hall.

"Egon..." Y/N moans. The scientist carefully brushes her hair from her eyes, "Y/N, I'm here. I am not leaving your side."

A constricted groan impulses through her pale lips. A doctor steps forward, "Alright, Ms. Y/L/N, I need you to push." Spengler grabs her hand and Y/N screams.

"Push!"

Tears streamed from her eyes, down her cheeks as she cries. Spengler could feel her death grip tightening, making his hand turn dark red. He silently groans as the doctor tells Y/N to push one last time.

"Push!"

Managing to push one more time, the sound of a baby is heard in the room. Y/N released Egon's hand, gasping for the air that didn't seem to get to her lungs.

"Y/N?"

She opens her eyes to see Spengler holding a bundled blanket. He smiled at her and gently gave the newborn to her. Being attentive, she holds the bundled infant and looks down at the face of a beautiful girl. Tears streamed down as she smiled at her.

"What shall we name her?" She mutters.

"Callie."

"Callie?" She gazes up at Egon to see him holding a ring, then back to the baby.

"Yes. Callie Spengler."

When it was time to be released from the hospital, Y/F/N, and Janine were waiting by the HQ doors.

"You're a mother!!??" Y/F/N gasps, and sprints over to the new mother. "Haha! Yes, I am." Spengler grabbed her hand, "I love you." He whispers in her ear.

"I love you too."
