It has been exactly 5 minutes now, nobody spoke nor moved and you began getting nervous.. Eventually, the man with the bird-like mask looked over at you as if he was inspecting you and your whole figure before a sly smirk came across his face " Lieutenant number 9, step forward. " he said before the older man clicked his tongue at his behaviour.

" Don't you think you're being quite impolite, Doctor? " he said as he looked over at him.

' Doctor? Wait so that man... ' you though to yourself as you kept on bowing to the man whom stood in front of you ' If everyone's terrified of him.. why does he look so young then? Even If I can't see his eyes I can already tell that. Doctors' need many years of experience no- ' you thought to yourself before getting flicked into your forehead by a gloved hand.

" Focus Lieutenant number 9. " said the man as he now stood RIGHT In front of you before his head moved a bit lower " The Doctor, number 2 of the 11 Fatui Harbingers. " he said as he held a small frown on his lips before turning around on his heel and gesturing you to follow him.

You'd give a quick glance to the other 2 Harbingers and people that stood there and before you could leave you'd hear another person, one of the new assistants mutter a sentence..

" Poor Girl, Thrown into the madman's hands so recklessly. "

' Madman? ' you thought to yourself as soon as you left the room with the Harbinger who you'd be working under. He was silent the whole way while walking in front of you before stopping in front of a staircase that lead to what seemed like the basement. For a second, it actually looked like he turned his head to the side a bit to look over his shoulder at you, but that must've been only your imagination, It's not like you'd dare to even ask him such..

It took quite a while to walk all those stairs down, once you were down.. you'd be met with a quite long hallway that held many metal doors. You wondered where they led, but instead, the two of you walked past them. You were curious but the fear inside of you was stronger than that stupid curiousity of yours, eventually the both of you stopped in front of a wooden door and he'd turn to you " I've already gathered all documents needed inside your workspace, You will be reading through each document there is and sign them with your name. " he said as he basically shoved the key into your hands, trying not to even touch you " I will return in around an hour to sign them myself, better finish them quickly Lieutenant. " he said before walking away..

You'd just look over at the key before looking at the door and unlocking it ' Well this should be easy right? Just a few documents that need both mine and his signature- ' Well.. that's what you thought before seeing around 8 piles of nothing but documents. You'd just stare at them for a moment before taking a sigh and walking inside the room to sit down on the office chair and begin.. So this is your new life? Sitting in the office for hours and signing documents? Such an.. interesting life.. You honestly wished you could refuse the job offer now..

1 hour passed by and you just finished signing your last document about a minute ago, you wondered where the man was as he said that he'd be back in EXACTLY 1 hour. You now just sat in a slightly comfier position in your chair and waited.. 1.. 2.. 3....... 167... 168... you've been waiting for half an hour now and he was nowhere to be seen ' Did he forget? ' you thought to yourself before you heard something move from the outside as well as loud steps and grumbles.

" Have you finished signing the documents, Lieutenant- " said the man once he opened the door and walked in to see you in a slacking position while your eyes looked over at him so innocently.
