⥗ • Chapter 12 | Mondstadt & unlucky day.. •

You'd eventually wake up in a quite comfy place before stretching out a bit and holding onto whatever was in your arms. Eventually you'd open your eyes and look around the room while slightly rubbing them before seeing the Doctor sitting on a chair near the window while looking outside. You silently observed him for a moment before he finally spoke..

" You're finally awake. " he said as he took a cup from the table and took a sip of whatever was in it " I made sure to bring you something to eat once you wake up before we go into one of the local taverns. Specifically, Cat's tail. " he said once he placed the cup down and turned his head towards your figure.

" How long have I slept?.. " you asked before looking around for the clock " What's the time?.. "

" It is exactly 11PM. You've slept through the whole ride and almost for an entire day. " he said before grabbing a plate from the table and walking over to the bed to sit down on it and hand it to you " One of Mondstadt's specialties, Tea break pancakes. "

You'd look at the plate for a moment before yawning while covering your mouth " I'm not hungry though.. plus you said we'd go into a tavern soon so it would be better if I didn't eat anything.. " you muttered as your eyes began to finally adjust to the light in the room.

" I had to carry you here because of how sore your body was when I woke you up after our arrival. " he said with a scoff before taking a forkful of the dish and shoving it into your mouth.

Your eyes widened at the strange move he made before swallowing the bite he gave you and looking at him before taking the fork into your own hands " How is it that I don't remember anything then? " you asked as you took another forkful of the sweet pancakes.

" Your mind and body were in a.. " he said with a pause " To say it simply. You were half asleep, more asleep than awake actually. Due to that your mind decided to forget it just so you won't be bothered by it. " he said before getting up from the bed and walking over to the bathroom that was connected to the room, before stopping in the doorframe " If I were you I'd hurry up. I will be taking a shower first and you'll take one as well before we leave the hotel, it is also raining outside so I picked some clothes that would suit the weather and occasion. " he said before closing the door behind himself.

You looked at the door for a moment before looking around and spotting a pile of clean clothes on the edge of the bed " Dottore you looked through my suitcase?! " you yelped out only to be ignored by him on the other side of the door while you angrily munched on your dish..

Once you were done with your meal you were forced to take a shower and dress up into the clothes the Doctor picked for you, it was quite annoying to know that he saw your private clothing as well but you decided to try and forget it. You walked out of the bathroom after you were done preparing for the dinner with the Doctor only to see him standing there in his usual outfit, just without the coat, though he held it in his hands as well as an umbrella..

" It took you forever. " he pouted before making his way over to the door and opening it for you to walk through it first, which you did without a single complaint as you thought that he was just being nice to you once more.

" It isn't my fault that I couldn't zip up the dress. " you pouted once the both of you stood in front of the entrance to the hotel you stayed in.

" You should've called me. " he said as he opened the door, revealing just how heavy the rain was. But it didn't change his mind on taking you out for dinner.

You looked in front of you for a moment before he took a step forward and opened the umbrella only to turn around to you and offer you his arm, you looked at him hesitantly for a moment before interwining your arm with his and walking to only he knows where " I didn't want to bother you about such a.. trivial thing. " you muttered as you looked away with your face slightly red due to the strange embarrassment you felt.
