Lorenzo De Luca POV
I stared at my watch as I got dressed and looked at the woman on the bed sleeping peacefully. I was leaving for business...I wished she could come with me but I didn't want her to get thrown into the world of Mafia.
I pegged her forehead and got up leaving when someone held my hands. It was her.
"You are going"she said with a sad tone.
"Yes,love"
"Can I escort you to the airport.. Please"she whined
"Fine"I said and she got up and went to the bathroom.
Adele Castillo POV
Was it wrong? As I wiped myself, I wanted him to stay. I didn't want him to go and I didn't understand why. As I took a dress out of the closet, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I hated mirrors..they showed me the real truth.
I walked downstairs and saw him in his car. The driver opened the car door and I sat down beside him. He was on his laptop.
"Snuggle Bear, I wil miss you"I said sadly and he looked up and shut his laptop slowly.
"I'll miss you too but you can call me whenever you want"he said
"Even if I just want to call"I said
"Even that"he said and I smiled.
He pulled me into his arms and I laid on his shoulder inhaling his intoxicating scent.
After some hours....
We arrived at the airport or more like his personal airport. I looked at the private jet as we got down. He looked at me and kissed me lovingly.
"I'll be back in one week time and love, don't dare go clubbing"he warned and I nodded.
"Bye"I said and he kissed me again before we parted.
Back at the mansion....
I entered the lonely mansion. I missed him and it hadn't even been half a day yet. I went to popcorn and candy's room and laid beside them as I dissolved into the world of sleep.
I got up to a loud voice and I slowly walked down. I looked at the person and it was Chiara smiling back at me with luggage in her hands.
"Hey...Did I startle you? I was only trying to pull in my luggage"she said and I looked at the 3 suitcases beside her.
"All this for one week"I said and she nodded.
Popcorn and candy came walking down from the stairs majestically. I hadn't locked their door. They rubbed their body against me and suddenly, Chiara screamed.
"Cats... Cats in this fucking house"she screamed.
"What is wrong"I asked
"Who bought you these kittens?"she asked
"Lorenzo"
"My brother bought you a kitten..no kittens. My brother hates cats with a passion..Dang,he loves you too much"she said and I blushed.
"I didn't know that"I said
"He wouldn't tell you...What are their names?"she said squatting to pet them.
"Popcorn and Candy"I said and stared at me for a few seconds before bursting into laughter.
"What is funny?"I said
"Pop...what? Hahaha...My rib hurts"she said in-between laughs.
"Whatever"I murmered and looked away.
"Sorry..sorry...It is just too funny but I love it really"she said and I gave her a questioning gaze.
"Fine"I said
"Can you help me pack my things to a spare room?"she said and I nodded.
One hour later...
We had finished carrying most of the suitcases and the guards carried the rest.
"What did you carry?"I asked
"Perfumes,my beauty products, jewelries,clothes, shoes plus a whole lot of books"she said and I scoffed.
"What are we going to do?"she asked
"I'm not going clubbing"I answered immediately
"I'm not really in the mood of clubbing... Let's watch a movie or something"she said and I beamed.
"Let's watch Harry Potter...."I said and she nodded.
"First, popcorn plus let me order a box of pizza"she said
And that was how we spent our day, watching movies with Popcorn and Candy.
Next day....
I opened my lashes and saw Chiara sleeping beside me on the couch. I shook her awake.
"WTF..."she said immediately and I laughed.
She looked like a confused ghost.
"Good morning, Chiara"I said and she groaned.
"I'm going to my room to shower"I said and she nodded.
I went to the room and I realized Lorenzo was gone....I heard my phone ring beside the headpost and I ran to it.
"Hello"I said
"Hello,love....I was worried about you. I called yesterday but you didn't pick"he said from the other end of the line.
"I wasn't close to my phone"I said slowly.
"I miss you"he said into the phone.
"I miss you too"I replied back
"Do you want me to come,love"he said
"It has barely been a day since you left... I'm okay and Chiara seems super cool"I said and I heard a chuckle from the background.
"See you then,love "he said and the line cut.
Meanwhile.....
Lorenzo De Luca POV
I ended the call...I missed her,her laugh,her beautiful face....I looked back at the man infront of me tied to the chair.
"Kill him"I said and they shot him as I stood there unperturbed.
