I groaned as Lorenzo guided me to the car. It had been some months and my stomach had started to get bigger. We were going to check the gender of the baby. He sat by me in the car and ran his hand over my stomach gently.
After some time....
We had finally arrived at the hospital as the doctor ran the machine over the stomach. I felt at ease... Lorenzo was beside me kissing my hands.
"That is a girl.... Right over there"the doctor showed and I looked at Lorenzo who had a smile on his face.
"Wait it is actually two kids..one boy and a girl"the doctor said and my eyes popped.
Back at the car.....
"Two little kids for me to pamper and love"he said lovingly
I rolled my eyes..He wasn't the one carrying it so definitely, he will be happy.
7 months later....
I was in the room reading a book when I felt a kick...hard and painful. I screamed as I tried to get up.
"Lorenzoooo"I screamed his name and he came running upstairs.
"The babies"I said in frustration.
"Your water broke"he said and carried me to the car.
"Drive... Fucking drive"he barked at the driver.
I found myself on the bed with Lorenzo beside me.
"We are going to need you to push by the count of 3...3...2...1 push"the doctor said and I forced hard. I stopped to catch a breath..tears staining my eyes. Lorenzo kissed my forehead.
"You can do it,love"he said and I pushed again.
After some time...
I heard crying....Two children were out. I looked at Lorenzo who was holding the two kids lovingly in his arms.
"I want to hold them"I said and Lorenzo laid the two children beside me.
"They are so beautiful..What are their names?"he asked and kissed my shoulder
"I'll name the boy Apollo and the girl Jamillah"I said
"You are naming the girl after my mother?"he asked
"Yes...I want my child to bear your mother's name"I said and he kissed me.
