The Surprise of a Lifetime

Utter Terror

It was now Monday morning and both Liv and Amanda had to go to work. Amanda's car was still at the precinct so they left early so they could stop and get coffee then get Amanda to her car so she could get to work on time. Liv had a bad feeling about today.

"Manda can you make me a promise?" Liv asked.

"Yeah Liv. What's up?"

"Promise to call me or text me after each class. I want to be able to respond quick if anything goes downhill."

"Yeah Liv, I promise. I'll send you my class schedule for today." Amanda stated.

After that Amanda went to work. Liv walked into the 1-6 and made her way to her office. She called campus security and had them keep an eye out for Carisi. She instructed them to call her if they spotted him.

Liv was in the middle of working on paperwork when she got a text from Amanda asking if she wanted to go to lunch. She replied and headed to pick her up.

While they were eating Liv kept feeling like she was being watched. She would scan the area but never saw anyone or anything weird. She brushed it off as her mind playing tricks on her.

On the way back from lunch Liv told Amanda that she was concerned and asked if she could cancel the rest of her classes for the day. Amanda told Liv that she would be fine and that she would text her before and after each class. Liv still felt uneasy but reluctantly agreed.

Once back at the precinct Liv went right to her office and started paperwork again. Looking at Amanda's schedule she should be heading to class soon. Liv texted her to make sure she hadn't forgotten to text her before but she didn't get a reply. After a few minutes Liv jumped up and ran to Fin in the bullpen.

"Amanda isn't answering my texts!" Liv said worriedly.

"Relax Liv, campus hasn't called so they haven't seen him. Maybe she forgot her phone in her office." Fin was calm while he was saying it but her was really panicking on the inside.

*Liv's phone started to ring*

"Benson!" Her voice was laced with dread and concern.

"This is Fordum security, we have had a sighting on the man you put an alert on. He is in the same building as Mrs. Rollins. We weren't able to get to him before he entered."

"I'm on my way." Was all Liv could get out before heading to her office to grab her things. Fin was on her heels along with Muncy and Valasco.

Upon arriving they were met by more NYPD. Liv noticed that the building was surrounded. There was no communication with anyone inside the building. Liv walked up to the person in charge and started asking questions. No one was able to give her any.

"What are you doing to get everyone out safely?" Liv questioned demandingly.

"I'm sorry Captain but there isn't much we can do at the moment" one of the officers said to Liv.

"Bullshit!!" Fin spoke up.

"Let me speak to whoever is in charge. Surely I can be of assistance more than just standing here." Liv spoke trying to calm herself.

It had been about 20 minutes and still no one could give Liv or Fin any answers. Liv started walking towards the building with Fin hot on her heels ready to stop anyone who tried to stop them.

Upon entering the building Liv and Fin started sweeping the building to try to locate Amanda and Carisi. As the approached the stairs they heard whimpering. They looked to where the sound was coming from and saw a few college students huddled together trying to remain quiet so they wouldn't be found. When they saw Liv and Fin they started crying and whispering where Carisi had taken Amanda too. Fin told them it was ok to exit the building and they they would cover them.

Liv slowly made her way up the stairs Fin following soon behind her. They neared Amanda's office and could hear yelling and crying. Liv and Fin each stood on a side of the office door. Fin opened the door as Liv rushed in with her gun drawn. As soon as Both Liv and Fin were in they found Amanda in the fetal position in one of the back corners with Carisi standing over her. Fin ran up and grabbed Carisi and put him in cuffs while Liv went to Amanda.

"Liv...?" Amanda said trying to hold back a sob.

"It's ok Amanda, I'm here. Your safe now." Liv said trying to hold it together for Amanda.

"I was so scared Liv. He came out of no where and drug me in here. Some of my students saw and they looked terrified. I should have canceled my classes after lunch."

"Shhhh. It's ok. You are gonna be ok. I'm here now." Liv said to Amanda in a soft voice.

Liv and Amanda just sat in the floor of Amanda's office for a bit until Amanda was calm and Liv was sure that Carisi was no longer anywhere near there. Liv helped Amanda to a standing position. They slowly made their way out of the building and to Liv's car. They stopped by the precinct so Liv could get the rest of her things to go home.

When they made it back to Liv's apartment Amanda went straight to Liv's room. Liv wanted to give her some space and decided to see if she had anything she could cook for dinner. She decided to have groceries delivered to her apartment so she could let Amanda pick what she wanted to eat. After about 45 minutes of Amanda being in Liv's room Liv decided to go check on her. She found Amanda in the fetal position on her bed but she was just starring into space completely zoned out. Liv slowly approached her and got her attention without scaring her.

"Manda do you know what you want for dinner?" Liv asked softly.

"Liv I'm not really hungry." Amanda replied with a concerning tine.

"You have to eat. It doesn't have to be much but you do have to eat." Liv was really concerned now.

"Okay Liv." That was all Amanda said before she walked out of the bedroom.

As she entered the kitchen there was a knock at the door and she immediately started to panic. Liv was right behind her and told her that she ordered groceries and that she was going to be ok. Amanda calmed down once she knew that herself and Liv were safe.

After Liv cooked and they both ate they went to bed. Amanda was tossing and turning not able to fall asleep when Liv finally got in bed. She immediately noticed Amanda's uneasiness and pulled her towards herself til amanda was resting her head on her shoulder.

"Thank you for everything Liv." Amanda said while drifting off to sleep.

"You dont have to thank me Manda, I'm always here for you." Liv said.

Liv waited to. Sleep til she knew Amanda was asleep.
