She arrived at the precinct really early, before everyone. Walking to her office she stopped and took in the empty desks in the bullpen. One caught her eye in particular. She blinked back the tears and continued to walk to her office. Closing the door, and the blinds followed not long after.

15 minutes later there was a knock on the door. She wasn't sure who was there but no one should have been there for another 20-30 minutes so she sat there trying to gather herself for to prepare for whoever and whatever was thrown at her by the mystery person.

"Come in." She called.

The door opened and in walked her Sergeant. Two coffees and a white paper bag that she could only assume had some kind of breakfast food in it. "Good morning Captain. I figured since I was stopping for myself I would get you something too!"

"Thanks Fin. I appreciate it!" She said with a soft smile.

"No problem Liv. I know you probably want to be alone but I figured we could drink our coffee's and eat together. If you don't want to talk we can just look over cases in silence." Fin really didn't want to leave Liv in her own mind without reassurance that she wasn't alone.

"Actually Fin have you talked to Muncy or Valasco about the vic from yesterday? I would like to know how that went and if she was able to tell them who attacked her."

"Yeah she was able to give them a name. They are gonna bring him in today. She apparently had known the guy since highschool, had some weird obsession and she didn't know until he asked her out on a date and attacked her when she rejected his advances. We are hoping that he will confess while trying to boast about how he got with his "dream girl" but either way it should be very cut and dry." Fin explained.

Liv let out a sigh of relief. "Well hopefully he will confess and save the poor girl from having to testify. The less trama the better."

Not long after that Muncy and Valasco walked into the bullpen. Fin got up and went to his desk and discussed how things would go when bringing in the perp. Liv joined them to finalize the plans before the 2 junior detectives went out to bring him in.

About an hour later she was doing paperwork in her office when she got a call. While trying to arrest the perp Muncy and Valasco had been separated and the perp got away. Liv was just relieved that they were okay.

When they got back to the precinct they all met in the bullpen and made a plan. The perp also known as Matt Brewer had a sister that lived in the city. Liv decided that she and Fin should go give the sister a visit. Hopefully she would know where to find her brother.

At the sisters house Liv told Fin that they should have someone watching the back. When Fin made a comment about it just being the 2 of them she told him that she would be fine and that he should go watch the back of the house.

Little did Liv know that would be a huge mistake. When she knocked on the door she was met with the barrel of a gun being aimed right at her head. Brewer was standing there telling her what to do and saying that if she did anything wrong then he would shoot her.

When Fin hadn't heard from his Captain he got worried and went around the front of the house. When he knocked no one answered. He realized Liv was no where to be seen and his mind went to the whole William Lewis case. He immediately radioed for backup.

Within 20 minutes the NYPD was surrounding the house. There was still no communication with the people on the inside. They didn't know how many people were inside. The only thing they were certain of was that Captain Olivia Benson was in trouble.
