This has been steaming for a while, I'm not even halfway done with the story and there's still lots of plot holes to cover, but uploading it usually makes me work faster. The comments i received gave me a surge of energy and courage to keep working. So please do fill me up! That came out worse than i expected but ok.

The first few chapters will be quickly updated but from then on I can't make any promises. Although I do have a lot of free time lately, and reading through the manga and light novels helps so I should be fast in progressing this.

For two people who have so many connections to each other, I'm really surprised at how little Accelerator and Misaka Mikoto actually interact.

But then again they make nice writing materials, and figures I am being biased too since the idea of making up interactions between unlikely characters never stops intriguing me, so I guess we'll see how this goes.

Feel free to add reviews and let me know what you think!

Academy City.

A landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within Western Tokyo. Possibly the most isolated place on earth. Rivaled only by North Korea. Though, comparing a country to a city as isolated to it is pretty absurd on its own.

When they feel like it, North Korea actually sends nuclear threats through fax machines to South Korea. And when Academy City feels like showing off their insane firepower, they just let in a few journalists into the city. The fact that they're still tied to Japan and not becoming its own country when the PM of said country himself isn't even granted the permission to cross the wall into the city is truly a remarkable show of audacity.

As the city's name suggests, it is a city of several schools and institutions of higher learning from kindergarten studying high-school to university level subjects, to university students learning impossible theories and applying it into their everyday life.

And as of the current year, 2,3 million people reside within the city, with 80% of them being students. You can only wonder, with that many students and the level of subjects they're learning, what would become of their technological advancements? It is, in fact, the most advanced city in the world and its technology is said to be 20 or 30 years ahead of the world.

The standard of intelligence within this city is so demandingly high, the students learn side-by-side along with the scientists. With the average being somewhere around 115.

That might not sound that high, which it is, but it is only because the minority of the students not living within the city dragged the score down. And for those who were born and raised within the city, the average points for them is a whopping 150. Had the city been truly isolated from the outside world, that score could've been higher.

Admission into the city is based on unknown criteria, aside from an unspecified entry fee. Some were invited thanks to their intellectual achievements. As seen with a few others, it is also possible to have a chance to enter with all of one's family thanks to lotteries.

Now, with a city this advanced in its scientific fields and is as isolated as it is, it shouldn't be a wonder when there were a few experiments where the boundaries between inhumane and humane had been crossed. Experiments on humans, mostly children who are orphans, are a common theme in this city.

Many of the experiments done did not bore fruit in its results. 1 out of 200 experiments on the brain didn't even do anything but waste human lifes. Experiments such as, how much can a human brain store information, what chemicals react to the brain in a way that would boost their performance permanently, and what happens when you swap one person's brain to another.
