A year later...

"Why do all adults have to be so cryptic with information," Grace breathed staring at the building in front of her.

It was just an old warehouse that was going up for sale. A type two was inside and she was supposed to take care of it. She pushed open the door walking inside. Tapping into her abilities, she immediately sensed where the source was.

Although she couldn't hear anything. She slowly moved around the building trying to sense if she had been noticed or not. She was about to turn into the room where the source was, but she heard talking.

"George, are you getting anything?" A male voice asked.

"No, just put up the filings while I look around," Another voice was heard.

Why were there people here?

Grace turned seeing a phantom behind her. She threw a salt bomb at it moving to the side.

"What was that?" She heard their voices and then saw two boys come out of the room.

"Sounded like a salt bomb," The boy with glasses said. As the two of them walked around the room Grace silently made her way into the back room where the source was.

She moved toward the back wall. There was a shelf in the room. This must have been an office or something. She knelt down reaching under it to grab the hammer.

"Who are you?" She heard a voice from behind her. She wrapped the source in the iron net not looking up. She leaned back and felt something sharp touch her back.

"How did you know where the source was?" The other asked. Grace looked over her shoulder seeing the taller boy from before holding his rapier up to her back.

"Rapiers are supposed to be used on the dead," She commented sliding the hammer back into her kit bag.

"How did you know about this job?" The boy said putting away his rapier.

"It was given to me," Grace said standing up.

"On your own?" The boy with glasses asked. He looked very unsure about her statement.

"I always work alone," She looked between the two of them.

"Do you work for Fittes?" The boy in the long jacket asked. She looked at him for a long moment.

What was with these two? I just want to leave already.

"No. As I said, I work alone," Grace stated once more.
