"I know you said not to," Lockwood lowered his head.

"Lockwood," Grace sighed rubbing her forehead. "Was it that hard to just do what she asked you to," Lockwood looked slightly confused, but it vanished quickly.

"I know, I'm sorry, but I had to do something. Barnes knows she's illegal," He explained.

"She's illegal?" George asked.

"She hasn't passed her fourth grade," Lockwood sighed. Grace laughed lightly running a hand through her hair.

"So you bring her up on live television to do, what?" Grace asked.

"Barnes needed to know it didn't matter. I went on TV announcing how special her talents were so they wouldn't be able to arrest her now. What should I have done?" Grace crossed her arms staring at him for a moment.

"Maybe not brought her name up on TV, Lockwood. You only did because her asset value has rocketed," Grace commented. Lockwood closed his mouth and straightened his posture.

"So, what you want me to fire her then?" He asked. Grace shook her head.

He is missing the point.

"No, I don't want you to fire her. I just wish you would have respected her wishes. You could have even been anonymous with it," Grace explained.

"Wait, why aren't you upset? You asked to be left out as well?" George hesitantly spoke. Grace had kind of forgotten that he was in here with them. He was trying to stay out of her line of fire, but it was odd that she wasn't angry for herself.

"Cause I am used to being used for publicity. I just didn't think you would use me too," Grace whispered. There was a knock on the front door.

"Grace, I'm sorry," Lockwood apologized stepping towards her. She just shook her head taking a step back.

"Don't apologize to me. I don't want it," She lied. "Lucy is the one who deserves an apology from you."

Grace's whole body felt numb like she was having an out-of-body experience. They knew her history of being used for paper. Not the whole story, but most of it. Grace didn't want to cause more drama so she pushed it off. Lucy deserved better. The knocks on the door turn into loud pounding.

"Open up!" A woman yelled. Grace moved towards the door pulling it open. Wade stared back at her.

"Get the other girl. You both are coming in." She demanded. Grace furrowed her brows.

"Why?" Grace asked not fully opening the door.

"I won't answer any questions until you're at DEPRAC," Wade said turning around and walking back towards the cab.

"Who was it?" George asked. Grace sighed shutting the door.

"Grab Lucy. We have to take a field trip to DEPRAC," She shut the door behind her. Lockwood emerged from the kitchen, but Grace ignored him moving towards the Library.
