Chapter 13

Tw: running away, possessive behavior, implied drugging, mentions of abuse, mentions of manipulation, and kidnapping.

Third person POV

Tommy sat on Shrouds back as Shroud scurried through the underbrush. "Thank you so much for this Shroud. I don't think that I could have escaped from those psychopaths without you." Tommy says happily. "Of course! I know what you are going through. They kidnapped me too and I've been hiding in these woods for years." Shroud says. "Oh they didn't tell me about you. I'm so sorry that happened." Tommy whispers. "Yeah I assumed that they won't tell people about me because they don't want people wondering why I ran away." Shroud says as he slows down "Alright we are almost at my house!" Tommy giggles at Shrouds excitement. "Hey I wanted to ask... Why did you run away?" Tommy asks. "Oh uhm they manipulated me, abused me, and they killed my family. They did a lot more but I have been blocking it out sooooo yeah." Shroud responds. "Yeah they did that with me to." Tommy sighs. "Yeah I've managed to evade them for about two months. I know that they will find me eventually but I'm hopeful." Shroud says. Tommy sighs "I really hope that they don't find us. The punishment will be incredibly painful. They literally impaled me for TRYING to escape. They stabbed me with burning metal rods, let the rods cool, ripped them out when they had cooled and connected to my bones, then they poured salt and lemon juice in the wounds. It hurt so bad." Tommy says. "Yeah. I didn't have to endure that kind of punishment because I didn't get caught but I've been out here for two months. If I get caught the punishment will not be pretty." Shroud muttered. "So are you the reason that they have all of these traps around?" Tommy asks. "Yeah. I had managed to evade them normally but there have been a few times that I have been really unlucky. Normally I can get out of the traps though. I could have gotten out of that one without you but I still am incredibly grateful for your help. I probably would have been caught if it weren't for you." Shroud says. "Oh you don't need to thank me. I was honestly doing it because I really needed a way to distract them and I would have rather died from blood loss then get captured by them again." Tommy says. Shroud nods in agreement "same." "Hey how old are you? You sound really young." Tommy says suddenly. "Oh I'm five years old." Shroud says sheepishly. "Oh my gosh. You are my child now." Tommy declares. Shroud blinks before smiling "sure."

It had been about a month since Tommy had run away and met Shroud. The family hadn't stopped looking for him. They obviously knew that he was still alive because he is a God and Gods don't die. During Tommy and Shrouds time together Tommy had learned many things like Shroud is a spider hybrid, Shroud used to have a loving family who were all murdered, Shroud is missing a leg because of the SBI, Tubbo and Ranboo had tried to adopt him, they would feed Shroud poisoned food that caused him to throw up and get incredibly sick if he didn't eat one every day, and that Shroud had left a scar on Tubbo from when he bit him. "Hey was Michael kidnapped?" Tommy asks one night. "It's a little difficult to explain. Michael willingly went with Tubbo and Ranboo but he has tried to run away. He understands throat what Tubbo and Ranboo do is wrong but he cares about the people that threw kidnap. He helps but he is reluctant. He doesn't like kidnapping people but he can be incredibly possessive over things. He didn't help them find me because he didn't care to much about me." Shroud explains. "Oh. What if he did really like you?" Tommy asks. "Oh we would be dead. He has the power of the piglins which means that he can find basically anyone who is considered family." Shroud says. "Well that's not good." Tommy says. "What?" Shroud asks. "Uhhhh he really seemed to like me. Both he and Techno had a really strong connection to me because I can speak piglin." Tommy says quietly. "Oh well then we are double dead." Shroud says. Suddenly the sound of a branch cracking filled the air. Both Shroud and Tommy went silent. Nothing moved but Tommy knew that this was suspicious. Normally birds would chirp, squirrels would be running around, and there would generally be a lot of life. The trees were swaying in the wind and it seemed peaceful but something was off putting. Tommy could feel eyes on him and he moved towards Shroud. Shroud let out a horrified gasp "they found us." He whispers. "Looks like we finally found you. Hello again Shroud, Tommy! You lost but you put up a good fight." Techno says from behind Tommy. Tommy heard more people talking. "Oh thank the gods. You found them!" Wilbur cheers. "Hello again Shroud. It's been a while hasn't it." Tubbo says. This time Tubbo and Ranboo came out from Shrouds side. Tommy feels a small force jump onto him. "Mommy! Your okay!" Micheal snorted. "Yeah. I'm fine." Tommy says back. Michael snorts and hugs Tommy tighter "you won't be able to leave us again. You will stay with us for forever! This is amazing." Micheal says happy. Tommy feels a small cloth being placed on his mouth and he assumes that one being placed on Shrouds mouth because he hears muffled yelling from Shroud. He immediately passes out and the last thing he hears is "Welcome back Tommy and Shroud."
