Days passed like the halcyon waters of a river that flowed on a sunny day.Jin Mo was discharged from the hospital and locked into a maximum-security prison. He was in a wheelchair as he still couldn’t walk because of his injury and he had to undergo physiotherapy, which he would do in the prison.
A trusted guard, assigned specifically by Jungkook, followed him everywhere. Just three days after he was discharged, an inmate attempted to kill him, but the skillful guard protected him. The inmate killed himself before they could interrogate him.
Whoever was behind this — whoever the Umbra was — it didn’t seem like they would stop seeking revenge for exposing their existence.
Taehyung and his two best friends got their own, real ID. They wanted to live a decent life, although they weren’t sure what they wanted to do yet. They had plenty of time and money, mostly, to figure it out.
Taehyung was fully healed and healthy. As the doctors had hoped, the slight bleeding stopped by itself with proper treatment and rest, and about a week later, he was good as new again.
And he couldn’t wait to get fucked by his dear Kookie hard and fast, just like their first time.
It was heartwarming that Jungkook was always gentle with him and considerate and sweet, but fuck, he missed the roughness. Missed being manhandled, missed his harsh bites on his skin, missed his fingers being wrapped around his neck, missed feeling that burning over his ass when it slammed against his pelvis.
And since their first lovemaking, they only stayed in foreplay. Usually, it was because Jungkook was saying he didn’t want to tire him. Frustrated as expected, Taehyung forced him to make a promise that the moment his doctor would say he was completely healed, Jungkook would fuck him until morning again.
Jungkook promised, of course. And that moment finally came.
It was early in the afternoon when Taehyung drove towards the station after his appointment with his doctor. He hadn’t seen Jungkook at all since yesterday morning. Jungkook was called to the station and had to stay until late at work because of a new case. He was so exhausted he couldn’t even drive home, so he slept at the station along with his team. He was probably still busy, since he hadn’t texted Taehyung at all. But he didn’t care. Busy or not, Taehyung craved to see him even for five minutes.
Upon his arrival, he walked to the entrance and told the guard he was there to see Jungkook. He was granted access and blithely strode to his office, but to his dismay, he only found Seokjin there and the violent crimes unit two.
They had one gathering all seven during the past week and Taehyung already felt close to Seokjin as well, since he was the only one he hadn’t met before.
“Hey, Seokjin hyung.”
A grin cut across Seokjin’s face as he arose and muffled the boy into a hug. “Hey! How are you, Tae?”
Taehyung giggled at his endearing behavior, patting his back. “I’m doing great. You?”
Seokjin pulled back, still smiling. “Good, just tired.” He gestured him to sit as he also took his seat again. “Are you here to see Jungkook?”
“Yes. Is he out?”
“No, they’re having a meeting. Someone went on a killing spree two days ago. We got the report yesterday morning when the bodies were found. And they’re trying to catch him since then. I doubt they have eaten a proper meal.” A small sigh pushed out of Seokjin as he shook his head.
“Shit, that’s not good. What’s his name?”
“Joo Eon.”
Taehyung’s brows flinched downwards as confusion swirled in his eyes. “Shin Joo Eon?”
