Your tía gave you the letter that was written by your parents.

"What is this for, tía?" you curiously asked as you tilted the paper.

"It's the letter I received yesterday from your parents. It says that you'll now be studying here and that your vacation will still continue." When you heard that, it surprised you as you opened the letter, and your tía is really telling the truth.

"Is that to say I will not go back there unless I study here?" You looked up to your tía.

"Yes," she nodded. "I hope it's fine for you," she added, and a smile appeared on your face.

"Of course, it's fine! That means also that I will be myself here, and I'm with my best tía!" you exclaimed as you stood up.

"Aww, I'm glad to hear that." She laughed.

"So, I have to go now, cariño, and you may have a walk around the town later if you want," she commented as she stood up and made her way to the door. Then, later on, you decided to go out for a while.

You found an interesting store in the town center. You're in a good mood and want to use another time to enjoy your moment alone, and you think that maybe a memorable object to keep forever is a nice thing to buy right now.

As you walked through the fairly large store, you heard the chimes above your head and saw people looking for what they wanted to buy.

There are kids running in your way, laughing while they are holding a teddy bear, and you moved away from the door as they went out of the store.

"Ay, I told you not to run around the store!" the mother worriedly exclaimed as she opened the door of the store, and the door slowly closed.

You just looked at them curiously and finally chose to move on from it and decide to look for the things you want here.

"What object is memorable and could be mine forever?" you asked yourself as you looked around. "And maybe, if not forever, almost forever." You shrugged.

As you are still walking, your eyes look in awe when you see there are other rooms in the store, and the items of furniture, clothes, ornaments, toys, and so on are organized there in every section.

"Woah, I thought it was just a small store. This place keeps me amazed." You smiled as you continued to walk.

While walking and finding things you wanted to buy, you saw a poster on the wall that looked like a necklace with a silver chain and sapphire gem, like the necklace of your mother, who died when you were nine years old.

"This necklace looks like my mother's," you mumbled as you walked closer to the poster.

As you observed the picture more, you saw an arrow that was pointed on the left side, which tells you that they are selling these necklaces.

"Great! This is it." You smiled cheekily as you continued to walk in the direction indicated.

When you came to the place the poster told you about, you finally saw the section where the jewelry and other personal ornaments were, and you found people as well buying such things. You continued to walk around until you found the picture of the necklace, which was exactly the picture on the poster you saw earlier.

You kept looking there, checking every necklace in small boxes and under the glasses, but you still hadn't found the one you were looking for. You sighed, tired of walking, and yet you didn't give up, even though your knees were about to collapse from the wide space.

Finally, you seem to have seen the necklace with a silver chain and a sapphire gem from a distance; it's just a lady with straight, long black hair blocking your vision from the necklace while she was looking in the mirror that was placed there, and her back is facing you. You noticed her just standing with her head down, looking at her hands with something.

You walked closer to check on her. "Hola, señorita," you greeted her. "May you move a little? I would like to take a look at the necklace," you asked, but she didn't respond, and you tried to tap her shoulder, then...

"AAH!" "AY!"

You both screamed as she looked back at you, and you saw the person you seemed to know. Isabela Madrigal.

Luckily, there are not many people in this area, so you can't feel embarrassed for screaming at a simple flinch.

"Oh, Señorita Isabela. I apologize." You awkwardly chuckled.

"It's okay. I'm sorry too. I must have freaked you out." She chuckled as she clasped her hands together.

"Would you mind if I asked you something?" you asked, and she looked up at you for a moment. Then she showed her reassuring smile.

"I would not mind. Go on," she allowed.

"Is there anything going on in your mind today, señorita?" you questioned, and she looked down, her eyebrows knitted.

"I've been thinking of a gift for my novio, and I guess I freaked out earlier since I lost track of it," Isabela answered. "I'm really sorry about that, dear," she added.

"It's fine! What gift do you think you want to give him? Maybe I will try to help," you suggested.

"Oh, you don't have to involve yourself in this simple problem, señorita," she reassured you as she softly waved her hand. "You're a stranger, and I think you also had other things to do. I don't want to add to them," she continued.

"No, I don't do much these days except help my tía with her chores," you replied. "I am truly a stranger since I'm new here, but I'd be happy to help as well. I just can't stand it when someone is concerned." You awkwardly chuckled.

"I noticed you looked like a new girl here, and you even know my name. What is your family name?" Isabela asked.

"La Familia (L/N)," you politely responded, and a shocked expression appeared on her face.

"Your tía is friends with my mother! Am I right?" she asked, and you nodded.

"How dare I am to call you a stranger." She facepalmed. "What is your name? Let's be friends as well!" she added.

"My name is (Y/N)." You smiled.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry again; I couldn't disagree with you. You're also the sobrina of my mother's friend, and I like to respect and accept your offer," she replied.

"Please stop apologizing; it's not your problem. Nobody's fault." You awkwardly smiled, feeling strange with this kind of treatment.

"Sorry-- ugh." She groaned. "These days, I can't stop saying those," she continued. "I've always said that when I became strange and worried too much about what I would gift," she added, and you gently patted her shoulder as she looked at you.

"You don't have to worry now, señorita. I told you I would try to help in any way!" you stated as you smiled, and she returned the smile.

"Gracias, (Y/N). Your tía also really helped my family a lot, and I have this respect for you," she said in a soft tone.

"So you and your family are in this town," you replied, and she just smiled at you.

"If you are willing to help me, follow me, dear," Isabela spoke as she gently placed her hand around your shoulder. Both of you were about to walk, but you stopped, and she looked at you with a confused look.

"May we please buy that necklace over there first before we leave? I really wanted that necklace," you asked as you pointed your thumb behind your back.

"Sure, buy what you want first." Isabela laughed.
