"Oh, no. No. Where's my necklace?" It's already nighttime; you just realized your necklace is not hanging on your neck anymore after such a productive day you had, and now you are throwing and lifting such objects around your bedroom, finding your missing necklace.
"Where did I put it? I've always worn it," you muttered, your heartbeat racing faster for not still finding the necklace. You crouched and checked under the bed, but there were no signs of a necklace.
You took a deep breath, slowly taking down the beats of the drum in your chest. "Don't worry. No worries. I can find it," you repeatedly mumbled as you sat on her bed, your weight sinking on the bedsheet.
"I can't say it's important, but it's really memorable from my mom." You frowned, still wondering where you'd left it, and the strain of remembering your busy day and finding the necklace made you groan.
"What about relaxing for now? I can't stay feeling like this," you breathed. "Yeah, that's right." You nodded as you reassured yourself, and you turned off the lights in your room as you decided to let your thoughts fall to the ground now.
A few days later, you're in the middle of making the brimmed hat Isabela requested, and you're sewing the fabric in her small house, trying to cope with your worry about your necklace. As you tried to wash away your grief over the necklace you'd lost, you let out a series of quiet sighs.
Isabela noticed and heard these sighs all the time she was with you; this made her concerned for you. "(Y/N), is there anything troubling your mind for a few days now? I can listen if you want," she softly mumbled.
You paused from sewing and looked at her. "It doesn't solve the matter. It's just that... my necklace went missing a few days ago. I felt like when I lost it, I didn't feel the presence of my mom, and I felt hopeless. It might be strange, but that's how I truly felt," you wearily replied. Isabela furrowed her eyebrows and had a sympathetic look on her face.
"When your feelings are affected by the way you're thinking about problems, this is top of mind. Seeing as you feel this way, it's not nonsense at all," Isabela assured. "I'd be willing to help you find it. It has a sapphire gem included in the necklace, is it?" she added.
"Yeah," you confirmed.
"Okay, I could ask others to help us find it, and I'll inform you and give the necklace to you immediately if I find it. Are we clear?" Isabela reassured.
"Yes, it's really appreciated, Isa," you sighed.
"It's my pleasure. I just want you to feel okay. I know how much it's important to you." She sweetly smiled. "I hope what I said relieves some part of you."
"I feel my shoulders lighten now." You chuckled.
"I'm glad to hear it. Calm your mind, hm?" Isabela smiled as she gave you a pat on your shoulders in comfort. "I would throw a cactus if you didn't follow it," she snickered as she jested.
"Fine, boss." You playfully shook your head, chuckling at her words.
"I was just kidding. Don't take offense to it," she clarified. "You're doing great there, anyhow. You seemed to be productive, and the gift is almost finished," she added as she looked over at the brimmed hat you were sewing earlier on the table, and her fingers brushed on the fabric. "Good choice of fabric too."
"Thanks! It's a relief I chose the good one for this lovely gift." You widely smiled, just proud of the work you've been doing.
"Keep it up. I bet the gift would be really gorgeous, like the planner and the milliner," she commented. "I know we are. So, take your time, okay? No need to get yourself tired so much," she added as she walked over to the window and let her flowers in the pots bloom.
"Yes, I'll keep it in mind," you replied as you continued to sew the patterns of the brimmed hat.
Isabela turned around again after doing her business with her flowers. "I'll have to go again for chores. You know the usual: if you'll leave, keep things in place here and lock the door," she informed. "Goodbye for now." Then she waved her hands as she left the house, and you did the same.
When she was out of the house and she continued walking through the town to look for the plant farm she was taking care of, and when she kept walking and greeting the town folks around the streets, she paused as she tilted her head in the curiosity of seeing Camilo just go out of the jewelry shop who was holding a small blue box that seemed to be containing a type of jewel.
Camilo is grinning widely as he kept staring at the box with the letter on it as if he was thinking his plan could be achieved, and Isabela slowly approached him, noticing this unusual behavior.
"Hola, Cami. What's that for?" Isabela asked, and this made Camilo surprised that he almost fell the box from his hands, and he immediately caught it and hid it behind.
"Hey, prima. You walked by here, huh? Are you planning on buying the perfect jewel for your novio?" He smirked, covering his little panic from his cousin. "I heard that you were planning to make a gift for your anniversary." His smirk is still stuck on his face as he wiggled his eyebrows, teasing her a little.
"No, whatever you heard is a secret," Isabela blurted. "And what did you just buy? It looks like a box for a certain girl," she snickered.
"Oh, jewels, you thought? Obviously, it's for me. I'm sort of interested in these." He grinned as he held the small box tighter, and she cocked her eyebrow at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Sí. Aren't they so beautiful to display?" Camilo chuckled.
"Then let me see what it is." Isabela crossed her arms, and this made Camilo tense up, a bead of sweat rolling on his temple.
"Pfft, you don't have to see it. You might get jealous and steal this and say, 'Oh! How I wish they were mine!'" he shape-shifted into Isabela and acted dramatically.
"There's no way. I have my own money," she defended.
"Good for you. So, bye, and have a good day, prima!" He teasingly laughed as he shape-shifted into himself and walked away, avoiding her for now if she ever asked questions about this jewel again.
Isabela stayed there and was about to call him, but she saw him going far away and pulled her eyes down. "I was about to tell him about her necklace," she scoffed. "Whatever, we can still meet later in the Casita," she added as she continued her way on the plant farm.
