It was a tough journey to be separated from someone you'd grown to love with care and devotion. Camilo was the first person to ever make you feel that way. When you came back to your city after your father knew about your relationship with Camilo, there would be pining for every thought, every argument, and every soothing memory you recalled with him.
Thanks to your step-mother and Elvaro to made you away from him. And you would welcome them stepping on thorns without another way.
Everything seemed to be clear now. You were on good terms again with your dad, who was resting in heaven, and you were at liberty from the control of your stepmother, who was in jail after taking the life of your father when they had an argument about her manipulating him the whole time.
You've grown up, and you'll never forget the town where you were accepted and alive: Encanto. And you would return for this one particular person, just as you two promised.
"Let's meet in the dahlia field, and I'll be waiting for you even if it's forever."
Here you were in the place he called his gift, the place where you had your first kiss and your secret dates. Those were marks on your mind and heart. He was the best thing you've ever had.
"(Y/N)?"
You felt your chest beating fast when you heard the familiar voice. The soothing voice you have been waiting to hear again.
You turned around to look at him. He didn't seem to change at all. He was still that charming and precious man you met the first day at the market. Then, a smile crept on your face as you approached him and wrapped your arms around him tightly. You've missed him.
Camilo didn't have time to react when you wrapped your arms around him, yet he was in ecstasy to finally have you in his arms again. Perhaps the years of waiting for you were worth it. It would be because it was you.
"It looks like we kept our promise, mi luna," Camilo whispered softly to you as he returned the hug.
You two had reunited, and the sun would hide behind the mountains now. It was the moment you would watch the stars hang in the sky again along the dahlias blooming vibrantly under them, just like the old times.

The End

May the field split the path between us.
May foxgloves deceive us with their charm.
May lilies of the valley brush the warm,
but our love would always be for dahlias.A/N:
This is the end, not really the best. I felt I'd lost interest in writing this, so my apologies. I still appreciate your time spent reading this book, and it was a nice experience we had as a fandom. I'll miss you. Bye!
