"Hang out with me around town."

You stared at Camilo for a moment as he waited outside your door. Were your ears just changed?

"Uh, what?" you muttered, raising an eyebrow. You thought he came back to ask and do the task he was always telling you to do for making up the accident that happened a few weeks ago. It wasn't that you wanted to be done with it; you still hoped that if you did anything, he would be satisfied and forgive you.

"Let's hang out. We'll have a walk and have such fun," Camilo suggested.

"Like, no tasks?" you asked, and a chuckle escaped from his lips.

". Don't you want that?" he asked.

"You barely give me a break."

"Consider this a break," he answered. "Are you up for a hangout? Seriously, it's the weekend," he added.

"I'm still drowning in chores," you replied.

"From your tía? Even though she didn't ask for you to do all of them?" He rested his hand on his hip. Great, he just guessed what was behind your excuse. You were not really up for going out today, and here he was, inviting you to get your foot out of the house with him.

"Yeah," you confirmed. "It's not a problem for you," you added, and Camilo tilted his head a bit, intrigued and offended, too.

"Yeah? I could say to your tía that you had a terrible accident in the last few weeks." He smirked as he walked closer to you, and you stepped back.

"And why would you say that?" you asked, a bit nervous that she would know you had become a pretty bad visitor here in town. Oh, no. You don't want to ruin your image for her, but you noticed Camilo was playfully threatening you.

"It's because you're not agreeing to hang out with me," Camilo answered.

"You could hang out with your friends. Excuse me?" you defended.

"No, I like you," he replied abruptly. The first time, your heart was beating fast as you felt your skin vibrate from those words. It only meant that he wanted to hang out with you. Why were you assuming other things? It was not like you stole his heart, and now he was wanting you―or maybe he was?

Camilo noticed the change in your expression, and he looked away as he cleared his throat, trying not to make this moment awkward. "You're already attached to me, like a friend, so I'm comfortable saying I'd like to hang out with you," he interrupted. "What can I do to make you?" he added that he was impatient to spend time with you.

You sighed. "You're scaring me. Just don't tell to tía the accident I made to you. Just, please." And you heard him laugh.

"I'm scary, huh?" Camilo snickered. "Fine, I won't tell, and go prepare yourself already," he continued as he beckoned you, and he was stepping back to make a distance between the two of you.

After a few moments, you two walked and talked along the path he was leading you until you came to a house with people circling in front of it. As the others danced to the lively music, you could hear people cheering and musicians playing in the circle.

Your head was bopping to the melody of the instruments they were playing, and you couldn't help but smile as you continued to listen.

"Ooh, awesome. It looks like a small party." Camilo grinned as he watched them. "Let's go there," he added as he walked, and you followed.

And there was a better view of their smiles as they danced to the music, as well as a clearer hearing of the instruments playing. After that brief excusing moment with him, this could upbeat the souls even you.

Camilo was smiling as well while he watched the people having a party and dancing, and it's been his favorite thing to do in his spare time.

"Do you dance, too?" Camilo asked, and his attention turned back to you.

"I don't think so," you replied. "Dancing is overwhelming for me," you continued, and he snickered.

"Overwhelming? But I could notice how you almost dance with your shoulders in the music," Camilo teased as he nudged your arm, and he continued to sway with his arms.

"You could dance with them," he cheered as he stopped his little dance.

"You can do that. You were already dancing earlier," you commented.

"It's my thing," he replied as he moved closer to you. "And nothing would go wrong if you danced, right?"

"I'm content with watching," you answered, and Camilo scoffed as he leaned his face closer to yours as if he were trying to reach something behind you.

You could already notice the freckles on his cheeks and the shades of his hazel eyes in a better look that you haven't observed more. You thought that today you would drown not only in chores but, actually, in his eyes as well. It was a sickening sight, you could admit.

"Unless you tried to spin your feet, bonita." Camilo grinned as he held your hand from your side and raised it with his as he twirled you around, which caught you off guard.

"You only need a company to make you dance, don't you?" he teased as he pulled away from you.

"That's unexpected," you replied, and that followed your chuckle. You didn't even realize that his hand had already reached yours earlier since you were sinking into his eyes.

"That's unexpected? I was close to you, and my arm was on your behind. You can sense it," Camilo commented. "Or were you minding other things, huh?"

"¿Que?" you muttered. You were stunned at that moment and recalled how you actually stared into his eyes. "Pfft, no. I must've been naive," you scoffed.

"Sure?" He grinned again, tolerating your response. "Oh! What about practicing dancing at Casita next time? That might change your mind about dancing," he suggested.

"That's the worst practice ever."

"I assure you, it's not."
