14. Moonlight on the Bayou

"Let me guess this straight, Damon is answering Valerie's calls but not yours?" Kol asked, as him and Aria got out of the car.

"Yeap" Aria whispered.

"Ri, what does this mean?" Kol asked.

Aria looked at Kol, trying not to show her heartbreak on her face, "Ask me that when I'm ready to say it out loud" she said, causing Kol to give her a sympathetic look, though Aria tried to hide how much she was hurting, Kol could see right through her and he knew right now, finding Rayna and keeping her away from Damon was her way of distracting herself from her heartache, "Anyways, Valerie just texted me saying she lost cell reception with Damon".

"That's worrying" Kol commented.

"Really worrying" Aria said.

Kol looked at the ancient looking building infront of him, "So what are we doing here?".

"He called" Aria said, pointing towards Enzo who just came out of the building.

"Good, you two made it" Enzo said, seeing the duo, "Come on in".

"What the bloody hell is this place?" a confused Kol asked, as he and Aria followed Enzo in.

"This is the Armory" Enzo informed, "Home to a society of supernatural artifact collectors, they keep them under lock and key, so they don't fall into the wrong hands".

"I've never heard of this society" Kol said, he looked at Aria, "Have you in the many supernatural books you read?".

"If I did, don't you think I would have told you" Aria retorted.

"Fair point" Kol whispered.

"That's kind of the point" Enzo said, "They've taken great care to keep themselves out of history as we know it".

"Alright, if we're done with the information bit, cut to the part how this creepy place is going to help us save Damon" Kol said, "Where is this secret society?".

"They're out of their own supernatural treasure hunt" Enzo replied, "But, lucky you, they've recruited me to nab Rayna Cruz, ever since that annoying Phoenix Stone turned up in Mystic Falls, she's been their top priority, they actually consider her one of the supernatural wonders of the world, like you Aria".

Aria looked at Enzo in confusion, "What are you on about?".

"The armory isn't just interested in Rayna, they are also interested in you, the first ever tribrid to not only exist but also give birth to mini tribrids" Enzo informed.

"Is this a trap?" Kol asked, suddenly very alerted, "Are you leading Ri to these people?".

"Relax, these people don't want Aria, not yet anyways" Enzo said, "They want Rayna".

"And since when do you care what these people want?" Aria asked curiously, knowing Enzo did nothing without an agenda.

"They have something I want" Enzo simply replied, confusing both Aria and Kol, "When the armory kidnapped me four months ago it wasn't to torture me, a woman named Alex made me an offer, if I help them then she will tell me about my family, and since then I've been working for the Armory, look, all we need to do is get Damon here, and Rayna will have no choice but to follow, a rat to the cheese, we spring the trap and the armory keeps her under lock and key forever after, everyone gets on with their lives, what do you say?".
