09. Homecoming

Aria's phone, that was placed on the side table, suddenly started ringing, disturbing both Aria and Damon's sleep, Aria let out an annoyed groan, she turned herself around and buried her face in Damon's neck, "Damon, answer it, and tell whoever it is that Aria's busy".

Damon chuckled at his girlfriends actions, he pulled Aria closer to him before grabbing her phone to see who was calling her this early.

"Klaus?" Damon answered confused.

"Where's Ari?" Klaus asked immediately.

"Well hello to you too" Damon said sarcastically.

"Not now Damon, where's Ari?" Klaus asked, a sense of urgency in his voice.

Damon frowned hearing Klaus's tone, wondering why did he sound like that, "She's right next to me, peacefully sleeping".

"So Mikael didn't get to her?" a relieved Klaus asked.

"Mikael?" Damon asked confused, gaining Aria's attention.

"What's Nik saying?" Aria asked, Damon put the phone on speak.

"Stefan called me saying Elena daggered my father because he came after Ari" Klaus informed, he immediately had his doubt when Stefan said that, he knew Aria was the one person Mikael vowed never to harm.

"Nik, Elena and gang are trying to trap you" Aria informed, "Yesterday, she came over to know the story of your family, she wanted to know why she shouldn't wake Mikael up, Mikael never came after me, I feel like Elena and Stefan teamed up with him to kill you".

"Tonight is your homecoming, right?" Klaus asked.

"We are telling you that Stefan and Elena are working with your father to kill you and you're worried about homecoming" Damon snapped.

"I've run my entire life, it's time this ends" Klaus stated.

"Nik, are you sure about this?" Aria asked, slightly doubtful.

"I'm absolutely sure" Klaus replied, "See you both at homecoming".

After Klaus hanged up, Damon turned to Aria, "Your best friend has a death wish".

Aria sighed, "You heard him Damon, he's tired of running".

"So what's the plan?" Damon asked.

"Would you believe me if I say for once I have no plan?" Aria asked.

"Aria Connor has no plan, that's a first" Damon teased.

"Ha ha ha, you're so funny" Aria said sarcastically.

"I know right" Damon replied, smiling at Aria.

"I do have a question for you though, Mr. Salvatore" Aria said.

"Oh, please do ask, Miss. Connor" Damon said.

"Will you, Damon Salvatore, be my date to homecoming?" Aria asked, making Damon smile.

"I thought you would never ask" Damon teased.
