A fierce storm brews over the darken lake, one could smell it rolling in on the air. Massive grey clouds that move in from Lake Mobius are filled with thunder and lightning.
They cause the waves below to dance, creating a rhythmic flow. In the distance, a little ship is being rocked in tune with the storm's song. The waves slamming hard against the shores, pulling the boat ever closer to the land of the Known World.
Everything living retreats from the coming storm, hiding deep in the woods sensing the dread the waves are bringing. It rages on regardless, heavy rain pelts the ground and the wind bends trees.
An ominous aura is closing in with each crashing wave, something dark and unique lurking in the shadows. A sudden flash of jagged lightning strikes a large tree looking out over the water. It collapses instantly with smoke billowing upwards.
Then a second strike even more vivid then the last, setting another tree a blaze. The flames reveal a silhouette of a person standing along the forest edge. They watch the waves intently, waiting for the treasure this storm is brining.
Something surely marvelous is going to happen now. The odd figure so out of place, inches closer to cliff edge, smiling darkly as the wind changes. Soon they fade back into the woods as if never even there. Leaving the storm to run its course, not knowing the true impact the raging waves will cause to the world.
For this ship hails from the Dark Continent, carrying a creature unknown to these lands. A young female raised in the den of beasts, learning savage skills to survive the horrors of her homeland.
Not human but not a beast, somewhere lost in the middle. No sense of self, just lead by instincts and a desire to be accepted. The winds of change can not be undone, the falling leaves will continue to fall.
A stone has been cast upon a sleeping world, the ripples will reach far and wide. Can the Known World handle what is to come or will it continue to sleep?
