Hello!
I am sorry for the horrible cliffhanger! And my whole family was sick - me included- I had to nurse them. Poor me. Now here you go and I will upload again this week, because next few pages are almost ready!
Thank you so much for reading!!!
I know this chappy is far from my usual depth but it gives insight in other characters, as will the next chappy. I hope you like it! The next action will com in chapter after the next I guess.
And I will rearrange the former chapters, cause all said they are too long. You do not have to reread them, Just go on with this and the next ones. Lokk at the numbers.
Ok, Have fun! Enjoy!
PS: Picture shows Abby.

Chapter 5a: Janus and Abigail
Alyssa stormed out of the hall and ran away. Together with dozens of others Janus dragged Abigail out and they left Angi behind in the gym. She would stay away to give them time to let it sink in. Now it was his part to look after the girls. Alyssa was able to watch herself, although she got herself into trouble easily. He hoped the best and decided not to go after her immediately. He knew she needed time to cool down. She was very emotional for days and not friendly to Angi. He did not know why she felt so much rage when it came to her best friend, but something upset her.
“Janus?”
“Yes, Abby?”
“Did she tell the truth?”
“Who about what?”
“Angi about the governments. Did they sell us?”
“I am afraid yes, she told the truth. Did she ever lie to you before?”
“No. But how can she not see those aliens as enemies? They “chose” us, or bought us. WE will be SLAVES! And she wants peace? Friendship with our kidnappers? Stockholm Syndrome?”
“She does want to avoid further unnecessary victims. We ha..”
“No. I mean… they were right when they said she is a traitor. How can she betray her own race?!”
Janus stopped in his pace. The crowd disbanded more and more with every step they took to their quarters. They were almost alone now, except for some passers by.
“Abby! Never ever call her a traitor again! It is dangerous for her if you say such a thing. Anyone who hears it and does not know the context will be a danger to her. They will direct their anger and all negative feelings to her. If they outlive those emotions they might kill her. Pay attention on your choice of words!”
Abigail was taken aback. She was unaware of how far such a harmless talk could affect someone’s life. It was the first time she saw Janus absolutely serious. He frightened her a bit, but she knew he was only upset.
“I am sorry. But…How can she take their side?”
“She does not. Like she said - there are no sides. Colourful world.”
“I do not understand. I am confused.”
“She went up the tribune to buy us time. I wanted to find you girls and drag you out of the crowd before the situation escalates. Thanks to our angel it did not escalate. She prevented another massacre.”
“Hm?”
“The crowd was surrounded by armed guards, ready to shoot if the situation escalated.”
