Ishaan and Swetha followed Maya out of the door and went to Rakshitha who was at the front lawn of the office. They sat beside her even though they didn't want to bother her, "Want to ask something?" Rakshitha asked them. They both smiled and said "NO" in unison. Rakshitha smiled at them, after a long time she finally found some understanding people. At the end of the day that's what we all strive for; to be surrounded by people who can understand us without asking for explanation and have complete faith in us. This was one among so many things Rakshitha has been missing ever since Adira walked out of her life. Adira was not just her best friend; Adira was Rakshitha's sole weakness and strength. Adira was that angel Rakshitha always loved. Rakshitha stood up to leave, "Ishaan we need to start our interrogations. So, summon our suspects, I have some work with the DGP, I'll see you guys in an hour." she said and then was out of sight.
After an hour, she came to the office carrying a few papers, and she entered the interview room where Tanav was called. She then joined Ishaan in the interrogation room to question Tanav. She initiated the conversation with Tanav, "Hello Mr. Khanna, it seems like you are upset with your wife." she said with a mocking smile on her face. That remark made Tanav glare at her, "EX-WIFE" Tanav stressed, "Yes, a fortunate woman who left you." Ishaan made a remark. Tanav instantly got up from his chair banging the table, "What did you just say!!!!!" he screamed, but Ishaan was smiling. Ishaan was playing with Tanav; he was provoking Tanav so that it becomes easy to catch if he lies.
Indeed, Ishaan was smart, he was not like Aadir, who uses his muscles more than his head. Rakshitha was impressed. Somewhere deep inside her head she underestimated Ishaan's skill's. she now realized how capable and smart Ishaan is and this made her smile. She was slowly getting attracted to Ishaan. Rakshitha then stood up, "please be seated Mr. Khanna, this is not your ex-wife's office but mine. If she ever told you, I'm not as patient as her." Rakshitha sternly warned, Tanav reluctantly sat down.
Rakshitha rearranged the documents she brought into the room, "Alright, let's get to work. Why did your ex-wife choose to dissolve your marriage?" Rakshita enquired. The question irritated Tanav, "Why would you want to know? She is dead. And I have nothing to kill her." he replied with complete disinterest. Rakshitha was losing her cool with Tanav, she gave Tanav a stern look which was quite a warning, "Mr. Khanna, we'll get to the bottom of the case. All you have to do is respond to our questions." she told him in a strict tone, where her anger was clearly audible. Ishaan understood that Rakshitha is holding back her desperate urge to beat Tanav to pulp.
Not realizing Rakshitha's temper Tanav wanted to push her even more, he was trying to use the same trick as Ishaan but with a different motive. he wanted Rakshitha to so something in her anger which he can use against her and avoid any further interrogation. He smiled mockingly at Rakshitha "I guess that's why she despised you guys. Anyhow, she had no desire for this partnership. She just tied the knot with me because of work issues." he said. Rakshitha was not satisfied with his answer. Tanav drank some water and looked at Rakshitha, "And we have a 2-year marriage contract, once the contract ended our marriage would any way dissolve, but I anticipated receiving alimony, but she deftly avoided that as well." Tanav angrily said. Ishaan turned to face Rakshitha, who was contemplating something. She gently rose and walked away. As Rakshitha came out of the room Swetha approached her, while Ishaan sent Tanav some snacks.
Swetha saw Rakshitha being upset and confused, she then approached Rakshitha. "What happened?" She asked Rakshitha. Rakshitha looked at Swetha with depressed, and confused eyes that carried traces of pain inside, "Adira would never wed for money. I'm sure Tanav is lying." Rakshitha replied, "Perhaps if we speak with Sira, we might receive a hint." Swetha suggested. Swetha then led Rakshitha into the interrogation room. Rakshitha once again sat in front of Tanav. "So, you guys are done?" he arrogantly asked, "NO!" Rakshitha sternly said, "go ahead then." he replied, rolling his eyes. "When was the last time you saw her, Mr. Tanav?" Rakshitha asked, "Well, maybe on March 10th or 11th. She informed me that she is leaving on a tour to find new investors for her ambitious project, "Nrithya". She called me on 15th march and said she will return soon and there will be a lavish party to celebrate the company's success." Tanav detailed; Ishaan took a note of a few of his points. Tanav was then left free.
